Heh, just make sure you use those hydros as directed for the first few days, because if you're young and male they probably won't give you many. When I got my wisdom teeth pulled I ate all the vicodin in the first day and a half with whiskey to get high, then woke up half way through the second night from pain thinking, "oh yeah, I had four bones gauged out of my face about 30 hours ago -- where's my meds again?" At day four you'll probably be pain free enough to go over to ibuprophen or take a lower hydro dose. That'd be a good time to trip to avoid clouding it if it's still spring break (not that opiates and LSD can't be plenty pleasurable, but like others I'd say it's quite a bit less psychedelic and I assume that's not what you want).
As an aside: If you say you don't feel sedated enough to start the surgery you can probably get a few extra hits of IV Demorol (assuming that's what you get). The dentist rationalized that because I'm moderately built that endorphins from weightlifting must have created a natural tolerance (nope, just wanted my first IV pharmaceutical dope nodding session professionally supervised). That was the only time I saw open eye visuals from opioids (swirling vortex behind the jar of cotton balls), and it was great fun until they started sawing out my teeth. Being tolerance free I went home and puked afterwards like a first time heroin user. It's good stuff.
