Been doin suboxone due to lack of connects. Bout every weekend somethin comes thru. Always try n wait as long as possible to use due to subs. But as we all know. ..thats almost impossible. So, took sub bout 7am and not much later...ring ring. Yep. Connect rings in. Waited till next day...bout 24 hours and started the fun. But for some reason started to feel really achy. Did have a few misses. The aches continued on n off most the day. Since havn hard time hittin would occasionally toot. When tooted didnt feel aches but as soon as hittin again, wld feel aches. This went on til bout 6/7 pm.
Was jus curious if any1 else ever felt this?

Hi Heychristina. I can't really tell you about heroin as I've never used it, but I have used opiates/opioids enough to tell you it is a common occurrence when you stop using. The times I quit I would ache all over especially in my joints. Both of my knees would especially hurt and did for several weeks, as I remember. I had problems with my left shoulder and my lower back and these areas would ache for a couple of weeks before easing off. The pain was a deep aching type, felt like my bones were the cause and nothing I could do helped much, just had to ride it out and make the best of the situation with ibuprofen, and a heating pad.

Anytime you quit opiates/opioids the pain you had was masked and was not really felt, but when the DOC no longer coursed through your blood vessels then your pain came back in full force. There is a medical reason for this I just don't know it well enough to explain why.

I guess the bottom line is that it is a very common occurrence.

Thanx Edge but unfortunately I was referring to using again. I fell off the sober horse a while back. The aches have only happened while using once or twice. And it was always when had used subs a day or so prior to using and it only happened when IVing...
