Acetylsalicylic Acid and Acetaminophen

I know the maximum daily dosage of Acetaminophen is 4000mg, and i know someone who is not prone to the effects of acetaminophen could take this in one dose with little to no adverse effects. Im curious if someone (hypothetically speaking) took 4000mg of Acetaminophen, could also take the maximum daily dosage of Acetylsalicylic Acid? Or are these drugs similar to the point where the maximum daily amount one could ingest combining these two drugs should equate to 4000mg?

I am not going to do this, im just curious.

Also I'm a total n00b so sorry if this post is a bit silly to some of yall.

They have a different mechanism of action, and I know you can safely (therapeutically) take them in tandem at a max dose (say 1g APAP) every 6 hours and you 'd be okay.
In fact this is recommendedby docs if your pain doesn't quite warrant perks and they want you on an NSAID for anti inflammation properties . Then again, they've always told me to take APAP/ Ibuprofen each at max daily dose for a week in lieu of steroids. Both ASA and Ibuprofen are NSAIDs that work on Cox receptors (or something like that)...

Ibuprofen is preferred over salicylates because of its reduced index of side effects like blood thinning and gastric irritation.

At least on paper, the two drugs don't share a metabolic pathway, but even still it is good to remember that aspirin is not anywhere near as forgiving as acetaminophen at high doses.

TL;DR: Sure, but seriously consider limiting your aspirin intake...
