Acetaminophen overdose question

Can someone overdose without taking over 3g a day of apap? I was taking 3g a day between a 10-12 hour period. I would take a 325 perc every hour about for 9-10 hours for 10 days. That's around 1g of apap every 4 hours which is the recommended dose but sometimes I would take 1300mg around the 3 hour mark. What do you guys think? Could this cause overdose? I never took over 3g a day either

No wouldn't cause an overdose. You shouldn't go over 4gs a day. But taking 3Gs a day will fuck up your liver. Try and do a CWE to keep your liver more heathy

This is exactly right and there is always the question of "which is worse one big dose or a life time of an elavated blood plasma level of a substance that is toxic to the liver?" Some things the body can handle in low doses just fine but in higher doses is bad, think alcohol. In the name of trying to maintain a healthy liver I would look into alternative dosing procedures, not to get a buzz at all but because your liver is important to you. I would strongly consider a cold water extraction as a means of getting your dose and keeping yourself healthy.

As said, it wouldn't cause an overdose, even if you took 3g everyday for a week.

1g every 4-6 hours, a maximum of 4 times a day (4g).

4g is the maximum dose in a 24-hour period, so if you were taking 3g in a 12 hour period, you'd still be leaving the minimum four hours between doses anyway.

It's just paracetamol really kicks your liver in high doses or constant use, especially if you've already got a compromised liver (eg, you binge drink).

Why are you taking the paracetamol?
