Hello all,

I'm prescribed Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen for pain relief after surgery, which went well.

I feel very good, probably still thanks to general sedation.

My question is if there's a reason not to take phenethylamines, tryptamines or methoxetamine. I'm pretty sure the former two wouldn't be a problem but the latter ons might be.

Not that I'm going to, (because the feeling now is very enjoyable, definetly mixed with some cannabis), but the thought crossed my mind and I'd like to know.

Thanks !

I would more concerned about the lingering sedation; do you mean you were under general anesthesia and still feel a bit of the effects? If you were given any sedatives, opioids, benzos, anesthetics, etc I would avoid the methoxetamine.

Ibuprofen and acetaminophen have relatively few drug interactions. As far as I know the only drug interactions with ibuprofen are: anticoagulants, possibly aspirin and some N-SAIDs (particularly in high doses); and the interactions with acetaminophen are: alcohol, anticoagulants, possibly aspirin and some N-SAIDs.

So I would assume that the drugs you listed should be fine since they don't sound related to any of the drugs listed to have interactions. If ibuprofen and APAP were the only drugs you've recently had I would assume it's probably ok to take phenethylamines and tryptamines, if you're going to err on the side of caution I might avoid the methoxetamine as not much is known about it and it's toxicity. I've taken ibuprofen with tryptamines and stimulants and noticed no ill effects.

So basically I agree with your assessment, sorry if that isn't too helpful :)

Of course I am assuming you meant you were just going to take one drug at a time and not that you are mixing phenethylamines, tryptamines and methoxetamine?
