Accutane and recreational drug use

I'm planning to start an accutane treatment soon. I know alcohol is best avoided because of the liver damage that accutane as well as alcohol contributes too.

Is there any counterindications with other drugs? Psychedelics? Stimulants? Bensodiazepines?

I am sorry if this has been brought up before. Please merge this thread if so is the case!
 
I just had my last day of Accutane 2 days ago and i can tell you that it's a miracle drug.

If you can deal with some minor to moderate side-effects then its really worth it.

As for using drugs for recreation i can't be of much help. I don't drink hardly at all and it's not recommended on accutane.

I am on buprenorphine for opioid maintenance and i know its caused no problems for me.

They biggest thing i would say is to avoid drugs that are hard on the liver.
 
man ive done most every mainstream drug while on 60mg of accutane a day (got another 2 months) and its been mostly fine. The only three things to watch out for in my experience :


-If you do opiates and get opiate itches then moisturize the area immediately because i got a killer rash because accutane like thins out your skin and scratching it like crazy on the opiates irritated it real bad.

-If you drink then make sure to actually get some water in yourself because i got this weird rash on my elbow. It was just REALLY dry and took quite a few days to moisturize away the redness.

-If you take stimulants then id make sure to have some eyedrops on hand because the combo can really dry them out until they sting. The best eyedrops ive used are called "Systane Ultra" and they are better than almost all over eyedrops because they have a bit of oil in them so they give lasting relief unlike the more watery ones.


So drink water and moisturize really. In reality id probably try to avoid excessive alcohol consumption on this med due to its liver involvement.
 
I'm planning to avoid alcohol altogether, perhaps drink one beer or something like that. Can't imagine myself not tripping for such an amount of time, though.

You should be okay with *moderate* use of a lot of the recreationals. What lukw10 said is good. Though I will add, and this seems strange, but watch your vitamin A intake. Using isotretinoin in junction with too much vitamin A can lead to vitamin A toxicity. This would also apply to ingestion of a significant amount of any tetracycline antibiotics (could land you with IIH), but I don't think this is all that relavent.

+1 to everything. I didn't drink when I was on it anyway cause I was so young. This really is a great drug I would just recommend getting a good moisturizer because this shit will dry you up. My lips would crack and my eyes were always dry so having some lip balm and eye drops will help.

The bupe should cause no problems and other than that I can't think of anything else that would. Obviously you don't want to start cycling steroids or something. I think I had to have blood work done every couple weeks or something so they should be keeping a good eye on your liver anyway. Hope it works good for ya OP.

I'll watch out for vitamin pills! Thank you for this information. I have been on tetracyclines before. That's bullshit for acne, I am through with dealing with symptoms. Killed my entire intestinal fauna for nothing but an ever-so-slightly improved complexion.

All right! I look forward to doing drugs with the greatly positive mindset "I don't have to worry if my lifestyle choices will fuck up my appearance so I will allow myself to indulge fully".

Huh? What would you be taking that would allow vitamin A toxicity is beyond me. Aside from popping multivitamins like candy I wouldn't worry about vitamin A. Regardless of what you're taking vitamin A in high enough dose is toxic. Fast food and too much candy is bad for ya too. Oh ya drugs are bad, lol.
 
My friend who was on accutane said he experienced "different" effects from smoking weed on it, I guess it took on a darker tone than usual, and left him more agitated rather than calmed down. He ended up stopping the accutane because of this, and while he still has zits, at least he's calm about it =P

I'm not really sure how common that interaction would be in people, or if its placebo or what, but I figured I'd mention it.

This is my first post on here and I'm not sure if I'm meant to contribute something or make an introduction thread or the likes prior to posting to seek advice, but the following issue is rather urgent.

I have just started my second course of Accutane and during this course I have planned on using a variety of recreational drugs. I've searched Bluelight and the rest of the internet, and most of my questions have been answered, but there are still a few combinations that I'm unsure about.

Would the following drugs be safe or unsafe to consume while on Accutane, and why:
1. Ketamine.
2. DMT.
3. Salvia.
4. 2c-b, 2c-e, and other 2c compounds.
5. Mescaline.
6. Also, tabs that have been sold as LSD but are in fact DOC, DOB or other substitutes.
7. Street E pills, mixed with the most common fillers.

I love when people come on here and say, "I did [insert dangerous/stupid activity or one with unknown risk] and I'm fine" encouraging people to believe that A.) they too will be fine and that B.) feeling fine is sufficient to determine the exact effects/damage from that activity.
 
Getting sick or nausious off a drug doesn't mean it's toxic and vice versa. You could take the smoothest and most euphoric feeling drug and it gives you cancer and puts a hole in your brain.
 
hey anyone could give me a straight answer?

I've been on roaccutane since march, I'm planning to take some Molly and maybe an e pill,
My question is which one should I take, or maybe both?

I've been reading lots of opinions and suggestions, as well as personal experiences mixing E with isotrotein, but the only thing I found relevant is the liver permanent damages....

So I will stop taking my daily dose of 20mg of roacuttane, for 3 days, before, during and after the party, that is a way of minimize the liver harm, I think, also I will drink plenty of water (as always) in order not to dehydrate myself.

Well I need information to stop me or to induce me to do it... but I need it anyway SO PLEASE if you know about it tell me..

^^Molly and an e-pill should, in theory, be exactly the same.

I'm not sure if there are any interactions, however, I've read several reports of suicides believed to be from accutane.
 
FYI.. i keep seeing commercials about accutane and ulcerative colitis and people needing their colon removed because of this drug, and if you have any of the symptoms the commercial lists you can sue and get money from the drug company.. i don't know anymore than that though, i just see the commercial 20 times a day on MTV Jams. Maybe a google search will bring up more, but they say it's a dangerous drug. (this is all the commercials saying, not mine, i never even heard of it before i started seeing the commercials.)
