Absolute BEST SSRI

mirtazapine (remeron) is not a ssri.
it's a direct antagonist of certain adrenergic and serotonergic receptors (as well as histaminergic).

Each person is different, some have different levels of depression and what they expect could change the type of drug to take.

some anti-depression drugs increase your energy, while others calm you down.

personally, i took lexapro for a few months it was better for me than any other one I used.

the best SSRI is a joint of sativa. it's not covered by insurance, but at varying doses it improves concentration, has a euphoric effect that lasts quite a while, and definitely won't bug your brain out like pharms might. the truth.

^^^

Damn straight.

I'd like to add, though, that I could go on and on about how shitty SSRIs are, and I think they do some damage, too. I was on 300mg of Zoloft a day when I was only 11! I seriously think that my ability to feel any kind of "happiness" is gone. I've never felt happy for one second in my entire life.

FUCK SSRIs!!!!!!!!!

i disagree. people with depression are prone to also have anxiety and weed is noooo good for anxiety.

The best and the worst at the same time was paroxetine for me. It was the best because it helped with my depression and social phobia for half a year. Then it started acting strange and I had to quit it which is a true nightmare.

The most unknown is sertraline. All it did was just sedating me so I cared for nothing but it might just be placebo. Other than that it didn't do shit. Probably the least side effects.

A complete mind and body fuck goes for fluvoxamine. I vomitted and felt drugged like on DXM after taking only 25mg (which is nothing if you check the final doses)! And I was to switch gradually to 100mg. No way, I took 50mg and that was it.

Talking about SNRIs, venlafaxine is in fact a weak noradrenaline reuptake inhibitor compared to, say, milnacipran. At least if you compare the ratio of inhibiting the reuptakes of sertraline : noradrenaline. Milnacipran made me terribly weak and my heart go faster with no antidepressant effect. Not to mention bad testicles pain.

It's about SSRIs but if you mention the best antidepressants in general, you can't go wrong with opiates, they give an instant rush of mental energy and motivation for anything like anything. And for god's sake, this is the first time I hear marihuana enhances concentration.

^^marhUUana does increase concentration. It just depends on what you what you want to concentrate on.

Back to the subject-- I've never had any positive experience with myself or other people with them(SSRI's). The whole placebo factor needs to be applied to anyone who says they work for them.

I couldn't get it up on lexapro. :p
When I was in rehab the "doctor" wanted to put me on effexor and I refused because I was quitting drugs and didn't want a new one that I'd have to saturate my system with for a month or two in order to see if it even worked in the first place. Good thing I did too because of what I've heard about the withdrawals. I'm gong for a walk.:|

I deal with anxiety and was also a guinea pig for a few SSRI/SNRIs that only made me more agitated to the point where I couldn't bear being on it at all...

Pot in a small but noticeable amount has been an immense help in dissolving agitations and sativa especially also has such an uplifting and positive effect on my mindstate that I stopped going to my doc who prescribed SSRIs, SNRIs, and benzos but still has clearly no clue.

All I'm saying is if someone wants to become zombified by an SSRI/SNRI because they feel like they have no other option... they should consider looking into the benefits of cannabis in small doses.

It can be addictive as well, especially for someone deep in depression, but at least nobody needs to taper to stop getting high as people have to do to get off the pills pushed by the pharmaceutical industry, who lobby the FDA to allow unsafe pills to be marketed because they say they're safe knowing that they haven't really done enough testing to know for sure.

What do doctors do? They treat symptoms, instead of trying to isolate the CAUSE of symptoms and work to actually heal a person. They're not interested in extending your life, they're interested in burying your pain so you can keep up with life. That's why antidepressants, and pretty much all pharmaceuticals are so popular; some people just can't afford psychiatrists on a constant basis and they go to a doc who is too busy to look for underlying causes and simply prescribe the pill that the pharmaceutical industry makes available for them to treat such symptoms.

I have seen a lot of people who are as dependent on socially-acceptable pharmaceutical substances as a junky is on heroin, and it rubs away some of the pain but otherwise doesn't do their life an ounce of good.

I've tried Zoloft and Paxil, neither worked. I also tried Effexor, and SNRI, and got bad headaches and dizziness/blurred vision.
