Absence of Ketamine?

First off id like to start off by saying that i absolutely love Ketamine, and this rumor that i have come
across is extremely upsetting. I was told by a well connected and educated friend of mine that
we(America) are soon to be affected by an extreme drought of Ket.... He states that not only has the
production of ketamine gone down substantially, but the ketamine produced(in vial form) turns to gel
when taken out of refrigeration. Im just looking for some Factual information to either prove or disprove
these rumors.
1. Are they really cutting down on ketamine production due to its use as a recreational drug?
2. Have the vials been being ruined?

....Ive been struggling greatly in my quest for some k since i heard these rumors.... I live in Atlanta and
can find some sometimes at raves and shows(Raves every weekend) but the last times i bought "K"
i started to think to myself
that maybe the crystalline/power substance i was insufflating was not Ketamine...Possibly MXE?
I enjoy MXE but would hate to not be able to get my hands on some Ket. in the future.

Theres a big lack of ketamine nearly all over the world it would seem.

Also purity is going downhill.

Firstly, I don't think you're allowed to talk about the avilability of drugs on BL- but I'm not a mod.

Anyway, the FDA doesn't seem to have Ketamine listed under its list of drug shortages:

Amphetamines, however, are in very short supply at the moment- it's actually a very interesting shit fight between teh FDA (who says there's a shortage) and teh DEA (who set the production quotas and deny that there is a shortage).

In general, don't believe silly rumours you hear. Ketamine vials may turn into a gel if they are left long after their expiary date, but before that...no. The vials don't have to be kept refridgerated either, it's just good to do so- they're certainly not shipped in refrigerated containers and given its prevelance as an anesthetic in the third world I doubt much of it is ever kept refridgerated.

Actually, this whole thread is stupid- ketamine is on the WHO list of 'core medicines' that you MUST have in order to have the most rudimentary health system. There will never be a shortage of ketamine- if there's a shortage on the street it's more likely to be because of crackdowns on ketamine diversion in China and India (which I know there has been recently)
