about using needle the fist time

For those that "crossed that taboo line" and decided to inject. Was it your decision alone? Were you around others that used? Curiosity? The ease of obtaining fresh gear anonomously on the net? What made you pick it up the first time?

What was your first injection? I think most everyone thinks H when a needle is mention but I know a few IV users that have never used H. They always use pills and a coke.

I found some #8 ir Dilaudid last year for $$$ each and after snorting for a while, then I got a wild hair and found gear online, read Captain Heroin's step by step directions and started using stickers. After a few nasty bruises, some bumps from missed shots and using 22gauge stickers the first time(BIG hole), I have gotten very good at it. I use Dilaudid mostly but also will use Roxicodone and very rarely(2 times a year) Coke. BTW, when injecting pills, I ALWAYS uses a wheel filter and ALWAYS trash the sticker after one use, even if it was a miss.

My advice to those thinking about it, try your best to not start injecting. NOTHING will be as good and in my experience, you will ALWAYS think about even if you go 100% sober.

If you are like me and no one is going to stop you and there is no one that can show you in person, search what you are planning to do and READ READ READ so you at least have good advice from those that know what to do. I highly recommends Captain Heroin. Read posts from those that have learned about injection the hard way. Those that almost died, spent time in hospital, lost good jobs, lost family, got arrested, got abcesses and all of the other dangers that come with it.

One more question to the experienced users, How many people have told you that they will only inject opiods/opiates once a month, twice a month etc. and no other time because they can handle opiates/opiods? Ever met one that said that and actually stuck with it?

Well i started IV heroin because of the infamous status about it being the ultimate rush. I worked my way up the drug chain: weed-LSD-K-coke ect. I normally get all my equipment from a needle exchange which is nice and free . Oh and properbly the one thing that really tipped me over the edge was prescription OXY that I stole from mum's leftovers. I was hesitant about it for a few weeks but eventually after enough research I snorted em and was like, hey hard drugs really arnt that bad, which was when my love affair with opiates begun. Eventually i acquired some H and had to stab myself about 10 times or more to really get the IV technique down. But once i felt that first rush there was no turning away from it. I feel in love with the IV ritual as much as the drug. Ive been IV'ing for about 2 years and to this day have never been addicted. Ive always followed my golden rule which is to never IV two days in a row. I also buy in semi-bulk and once that supply runs out i take a break which normally lasts around 1-2 months. Im currently on one of these breaks but that ends sometime this week so im looking forward to it :D

I used a lot of drugs in high school and always was somehow drawn to the needle. I hadn't used it at the time, but it just intrigued me. I used heroin nasally for a while around people who were injecting. I always wanted to try injecting, but they wouldn't let me because they said they didn't want me to get addicted (though I was already addicted at that point) Anyways so I got clean for 2 years with never having shot up. A year ago, I relapsed and on day 2 of the relapse I used the needle for the first time. I didn't shoot heroin, I actually shot 1mg subutex and got incredibly high. Now I'm shooting heroin every day just to not be sick. I have to wear long sleeves every day because my arms are so fucked up and it's hot as hell where I live. I regret relapsing and using IV, but I think it was bound to happen. I'm currently looking for doctors so I can get on suboxone.

I first used the needle when Suboxone wasn't helping my pain anymore (I was Rx'ed 16mg daily for a short stint, but went back to tramadol as it helped my pain more just a smidge more (sad, I know); I guess buprenorphine just isn't the best opioid for pain relief - not to take away from it's use for dependence). I had gone from putting it under the tongue, to snorting it, to plugging it (tried this twice), and after plugging it, I just kind of said fuck it, if I went as far as to stick it up the ass, how much further is putting it in the vein? The one time I did this, I took two back to back shots of 2mg of suboxone, and didn't feel much of anything other than slight sedation - very little analgesia if there was any. This was when I decided to taper off of the suboxone before getting too dependent on it.

Other than that, I recently started IVing meth. I had ran into someone recently that was talking about wanting to plug some (after spending a few months away from the shit). This kinda got me wanting to do some, but really didn't wanna plug it, so when her guy came over with points, I just had him hit my hand. After doing this a few times in the past few months, I've realized there's not nearly as big of a rush as I had expected to come from it. And not to glorify doing so, as it's a horrible, nasty habit that can really injure you in so many ways, I've found it is a lot less fiendish way to use stimulants than to vaporize them.

I would definitely advise against using a rig to anyone that is curious about it, as it makes you more open to using it for other substances, and just because you can handle your use on one substance with it doesn't mean that you can handle other substances in this RoA. I'm now to the point of trying to avoid meth/IV use, as I can see how badly it's affecting me mentally (and I lost about 40 lbs in the course of a month), and I don't like being paranoid and delusional 24/7 as I have been.

That was my main reason for this thread. For those that are curious and want to "try it once" and never again. The other questions were just curiosity.

In NO WAY am I glorifying the needle! I HATE ever touching it. I should have been more clear about that.

It failed miserably.

7 years later I can count myself to the club of people that actually manage to keep injections to every other month (been doing this for almost 2 years now).

Was it worth it? fuck no.

My first IV was almost a year ago. I was wd'ing from methadone (god awful, I will add) and I got 10 roxi 30s. Over the course of 2 days, I did those and didn't touch another syringe until 4 months ago. Didn't have the urge to IV, honestly, but prob cause I jumped on the suboxone wagon thru my doc. $$$/month got too expensive for my sub script so I started iv'ing them to use less /spend less. The days that I can't hit a vein (I have the worlds smallest veins, I swear) I will take a whole one sublingually. Of course I'd rather IV but if it fails, I don't panic. I won't say I don't care, cause ill throw a hissy fit sometimes but honestly, I am kinda over the whole IV thing because its summertime & I'm the girl in long sleeves. Lol. Wish me luck going back to sublingual only.

Edit: I've only iv'd roxys & suboxone films..had the opportunity to do H but didn't, I've never done it at all any way because I'm scared of it. Prob a good thing.

I always said I'd never IV anything but maybemaybemaybe just once meth. I got that opportunity, took it ...it wasn't as big a deal as I thought it'd be and I was surrounded by people doing it, so I took the chance to IV heroin a few weeks later.
I'd now rather IV than snort or smoke anything, so when I use heroin or meth I do shoot it. I try to only use hard drugs recreationally though, so that only happens maybe a couple times a month at the very most.
It's rather dumb that I even tried it in the first place, as now it'll always be in the back of my mind as what I want to do; and it's so much extra risk involved in it.

I stole some needles from the vet's drawer when I was 15 or so, and they sat in my drawer till I was 4 days shy of age 18. I shot a meppergan fortis (Demerol/Phenergan powder in a capsule) into the crook of my arm with the 23 ga or so needle. I dunno, someone told me you could shoot em.... anyhoo, completely missed my vein, infection set in, and the pain was unbelievable as I waited to turn 18 so I could go to the clinic without my mom. I probly almost died from the staph infection.

Only used needles for dilaudids until I shot coke with a dirty needle just cuz I didn't even care just wanted more coke. Hepatitis C, no HIV and asymptomatic Hep C thanku god.

I say needles are most dangerous with coke or fuckin MDPV. If you're gonna do it toyourself with coke, start an IV line/heparin lock on yourself for krist's sake. It sounds crazy, but penetrating your arms 100 times a day is stupid.
