Opioids about to go in pain managment any advice for me? im 23 , i need help/advice

im young also, and i been getting treated like shit by primary doctors. this is off topic, but i had a GREAT primary/family doctor, he gave me klonopin for my anxiety, and adderall, and knew i was on suboxone. he said he rather me avoid seeing a psyciatrist for the adderall and klonopin as those are mental health meds for MY DIAGNOSIS, and deal with him if im honest. unfortunately i fucked that up, EVERY SINGLE family doctor i went to after that told me "i will NEVER give you any mental health medications, adderall, or benzos, u need to see a psychiatrist for that!!!" ------LOL SO I SAW MY PSYCHIATRIST! she wouldnt continue my klonopin cuz i was on suboxone. and i had a 3 month supply of klonopin to last me till i can find another doctor to continue, and the psychiatrist told me she wont help me wean off or continue, and to see a FAMILY DOCTOR in regards to that matter. so i see a family doctor, and he said "NO, u need to see a psychiatrist" i told him i saw my psych THAT DAY and she wouldnt help me wean off klonopin, and he got all pissy, mind u this was my 1st appt with this doctor, but he gave in and gave me a taper script of klonopin, and said it was very wrong of the psych not to help me with that since he is just a family doctor and he doesnt specialize in that stuff, and went on a big speel bla bla bla (im 27yr old male BTW). so what the fuck are family doctors purposes then!? if ur in pain, GO TO PAIN MANAGEMENT, i fu have anxiety/panic attacks, or depression, or whatever, SEE A PSYCH!!, if u have stomach issues, SEE A G. I., haha what the fuck does a family doctor actually do if all they do is refer u to specialist for every little ailment. its bullshit. but i know its just the doctors i ran into playing by the books, and having a psych. thats a complete bitch. eventually ill find a family doctor thats more old fashion and will have me under his care with klonopin for anxiety, and adderalll if i need it for school, work, etc..or fuck even if i need a lortab! (lol my former family doctor offered me lortab 7.5mg cuz he saw me with ANBESOL in his office for a toothache, and i had to decline cuz i was on suboxone, so there are good doctors out there , and bad doctors, whatever ur guys definition of a good doctor is, thats on you..my definition is one that wont give u trouble and will write u prescriptions and take ur word of a diagnosis (just not too out of line i mean, but u know )...egh fucking doctors

Don't count on finding that family doc that will do all that for much longer, seriously. No docs want to be the one responsible for writing that script for narcotics and are going to leave it to the specialists. And if the DEA and many others have their way they won't even have a choice about if they want to or not. Plus my family doc (primary care doc) is retiring because he said with the new mandates with Obamacare, people will have to see a specialists for everything and it is going to suck for "regular" family practice docs. He was joking and said it will be so bad you will have a specialis for your right arm and a different one for your left arm!
 
No they shouldnt. Opiates used long term for chronic pain will cause more rebound pain in the end. Deny it if you want, but it's the truth.
 
^ well I don't think a broken bone injury qualifies as chronic pain. Chronic pain is something that is unlikely to go away. Like pain related to a spine disorder or degenrative joint disease, degenerative disk disease, severe cases of fibromyalgia, and various other situations where even with surgeries the person is unlikely to ever live a pain free life. I guess its a tough situation any way you look at it. Do you get some relief but pick up the addiction. Especially in younger adults like the OP, who would probably be advised to at least try to stop using the narcotics to see if he can handle the pain. Because he is still at a low dose, but it does seem that he has some issues that could cause him pain for a long while.

LOL-btw- idk if ur indirectly talking about me, but im not the same person as the other new person on this thread with the "same attitude". im real and say what i want to say, and try to be aware of others opinions and feelings. i been doing this miserable drug game for 15yrs, and i hate it, nothnig to joke about or try to play games on the internet, lol (please slap me and say im paranoid and to lay off the adderall and stop staying up nights in a row) :-)
