Opioids ABG Morphine

Hey I just got my meds today and the morphine er i usually get is the MS 60 with the Square M on one side, but today i got the ABGs and of course i tried to IV one.

The good news is they don't goo up the bad news was i got a welt and pins feeling in my face. This scared the shit out of me. I just added cold waterset for about 2 minutes and then filtered and injected.

Why the pins and needle feeling and is there a way to stop that. also my heart raced and i got a really hot flash, any ideas why.
 
Yea, its a histamine reaction. This is very common with IV morphine. You can take an anti-histamine 30mins before injection, but I don't know if that will completely offset the pins n needles feeling.
 
Update

I took some benadrill a bout half an hour before IVing, I also released the strap then shot really slowly. This gave me a rush and an instant high but no pins and needles and no welt.

A very nice mellow buzz, not as good as OC but still nicer than snorting.
