AA/NA and spirituality...for the agnostic

I have trouble with this too. My spirituality stems from meditation and my higher power is my authentic self, my higher self as defined by Nietzsche. Eastern philosophy is cool and I base a lot of my spirituality around such
 
Hey n3o, AA is a spiritual program and for a lot of them it's God. For me it is not about God, for me it's about being a spiritual person and living a honest and straightforward lifestyle. For me, that is my spirituality. It doesn't have to be God, I don't talk with anyone about my spiritual program except my sponsor. He's a Catholic, but he understands my program and I get his. When people tell you it's all about accepting God, just know that there are greater forces than you in the world, but it doesn't have to be Jesus or whatever they're selling. Your program is your program.
