Harm Reduction A word of caution from a dead friend of mine

GABA, I am sorry for your loss. Not the best time to ask, but it may help someone else. Any ideas on the amount that was taken? I realize everyone's body is different.

It does scare me as I am prescribed pain meds and benzos and have been on xanax for 2+ years at a low dose. I do not abuse the xanax at all and try to take as little as necessary because I know what I am in for. I do however abuse the pain meds sometimes and if I don't take at least a small dose of xanax at night I can't sleep...maybe no concurrently all the time, but still...always thinking about something like this...

I lost a very good friend to mixing methadone and klonopin. We had the same birthday and would have our birthday parties together back in the day. His parents were just killed in a car accident a month ago actually. Sad. He never saw his 21st and his mother lost her only son.
My best friend in high school was mixing methadone and coke and had a heart attack when he was 18. Only %20 of his heart works now.
 
yea, i know at least 3 people who have died young from benzo related deaths. it sucks, but im not going to get emotional. some people dont understand responsibility or being careful. i do however wonder, as i see this thread popping up with the same generic response. im just wondering if OD is the right focus forum for this topic? theres already enough to sort through to get to the good threads. sorry, not trying to sound insinscere, bc im totally sincere. sorry for your friends loss. glad you were able to gain from it. -aphex

If you take the drug, the drug feels amaizing, takes your breath away and all the stars are aligned, you're minutes away from dying! Some stars must be left unaligned! You can pick a percentage, like, leave 10 or 20% of the stars unaligned.

If all the stars are aligned, you qualify for death method #2 and are probably already lacking oxygen. When the drug feels absolutely and utterly amaizing...that's red fucking flag! STOP!
