Tonight is almost more than I can bear...
Visiting a shattered life
On other people's terms
Floating in their enveloping anger
Anger?
The question frustrates my mind.
Angry that this world has more troubles
Than any sane person can withstand?
Her crying out for years has been
Ignored. Sheltered in an echoless
Cave where she guarded the
Entrance for fear of being cast
The villain.
Her scars, self inflicted on her body
Reflect the orderly abuse suffered
Her soul, without comfort.
Her life, now shattered for all to see,
Judge and hate,
Haunts her every moment
With only one way out of the
Fierce gazes of those who
Pretend selfless love,
She holds on by a thread
Being pushed again to break..
