Some more bits of' strike up side the side
my 'ead might be into.
It's been more dan' some time since those
unrelentin' keys 'ave stopped
and inbetween those 'bits o' Bach rivett-
ed te' Rachmaninov,
I'm jugglin' a Toccata and a Concerto
fightin' each other
over a 'bleedin' D minor.
Like-a bell, it's clear as crystals. Sure
as 'ell, I'm tellin ya,
My 'ead may aswell be the anvil in Verdi's
'Vedll le fosche' at de moment.
But dat's not really my cup'o tea te be finkin'
about.
I'd rather fancy my teeth be grindin' to h'is
Dies Irae
- (Requiem o' course) instead.
And like a prick, we're all shrinkin' in de
moment.
I'd be doin' de same to de ole' Ludwig Van
and his Sonata's Moonlight (if ye know what I mean),
but the only fing' dats really tickin' me Orff
doin' h'is 'O Fortuna'.
*sigh*..........................But de worst???
Askin' dese silly sods who've taken it upon 'em
to rob me o' my life,
in my good nature to let 'em get on it wif it,
a simple request like puttin' on abit o' Handel to pass away wif de Hallelujah Chorus in de background,
is anwered wif a "whot de bloody hell is he on about???" and a sharp kick to the spine.
...I'm struck; thine sides gush a bit of that ole' life juice around me ankles.
I wonder; what'll they be diein' to in their years to come?

Wow Vaile.. really quite interesting stuff - i had to read it several times to take an understanding of it, and i'm still not sure what it's about, but i know what i think it's about and that's all that counts. :)
BTW, i love Orff's "O'Fortuna"... strangely enough, i'm listening to it right now... :)
