A quick question-how old would I have to be to buy a DXM containing product? I live in the Chicago area, and I am 16...
 
I can't speak for Chicago but in Cali you actually have to be 18 to buy DXM products and anyone can buy most tylenol products, just try to buy it if you want, the worst that will happen is they say no.
 
Just call a local pharmacy and ask if robitussin has an age restriction. It's the most reliable way to find out for your area.
 
Erm.. is anyone else morally bothered by giving advice to a minor about getting messed on cold meds, better yet stealing them?

18 in California where I live. I used to get carded when I was a minor so I had to steal it which is always something I felt bad about but they wouldn't take my money. Pharmacies card but only when the only thing I buy is a bottle of cough syrup. The old ladies at the register always give me nasty looks even though I'm more than old enough so I stopped shopping at pharmacies. I've never been carded at a super market, some even have do-it-yourself check out machines. You shouldn't get high on cough syrup though, it's illegal. Only use it as directed on the label.

Just depends on the state as mentioned before. But yeah come on Civil I can't believe you are advocating to a 16 year old kid that he should steal a bottle of tussin. Definately don't do it, especially if there is age restrictions on buying in your state, it is most likely that they keep a good eye on it. I knew a girl who got caught stealing a bottle in high school and she got a felony for it. Yeah a fucking felony for stealing robotussin. Plus fuck dxm anyways, but if you are going to do it anyways, just go try and buy it and if they say no just get someone who is 18 to go in and buy it.
 
Go in and see. Depends on the area's laws. You have to be 18 here.
So go in. If they sell either you look 18 or there is no law.

Buy some other things besides the med, some cough drops, some random food like soups etc, buying ONLY the cough meds throws up a red flag. That's what I did when I was under age, worked every time.

nah seriously, i don't think anyone should advocate stealing, even if it is the only way to get your DXM if there are age restrictions...

If i were u , i would just go into a pharmacy and ask for xxxdxmxxx and the worst that can happen is they will say "no"....

I'm gonna try to make it look legit, bring a list, get some crap, spend more them 2 minutes in the store. If they ask me why I'm getting it, I'll tell them my little sister is sick (which she is). If they ask why I came on a bike, I'll tell them my car broke down. If they ask for my ID, I'll say I left it at home, and have to leave without my shit. I'll head for a self-checkout (I'm shopping at Jewel), and hope no one stops me. I'm paying in cash, so there won't be a problem.

And Bluelight is about trying to keep people safe using drugs, not stopping them from doing it. So don't try to convince me not to.
 
Ive never really understood why DXM was always one of the main DOC's for those under 18. I, much like chinky, find it to be a disgusting drug.

Nitrous, Ketamine, and PCP > DXM

you are WAY over-thinking the situation dude. just walk in get a bottle pay for it. simple as that.

i have never tripped off robo and dont really care to try it either.:\
