hello,

a policewoman visited our school today, to talk about drugs. She said that 1 in 12 people don't have the proper enzymes to break down MDMA, and die really easily as a result. is this true?

thank you

There would be ALOT of deaths DAILY if that were true (which it's not. lol)
I feel like my brain works better after using acid. lmao XD
opened up doors i didnt know existed.

^ Apparently psychedelics activate more neurons.

My brain functions better after molly, for days after my girlfriend was on strict 'robot' mode because she knew I was operating at a higher intellectual level, not to sound like a d!ck but she was in follower mode supporting my every thought

I'm hoping that D.A.R.E. isn't around any more when I'm older, but if they are, it's going to be so fun teaching my kids the truth about drugs and then having them one up the cops that lie to them in class. I'll want to see their faces when my 10 year old knows more facts about drugs then they do.

I really hope you don't teach your TEN year old the truth about drugs.
besides that, im sure they would get in trouble.. and i dont think 10 yr olds learn about drugs XD and if they did, they wouldnt understand the humor in showing up a cop haha

Haha, DARE.

Ironically, when I had DARE in 5th grade, I just loved it and was like "I'll never do drugs!" and always decided that my technique in saying no to drugs would be this: I would say no, and then the other guy would call me a chicken, and then I would say "Well, I'd rather be a live chicken than dead!" haha! Ah, memories.

But eventually I learned the truth about drugs anyways, but I have nothing but good memories of DARE. We even got to wear drunk goggles, which I learned were actually nothing like being drunk when I actually got drunk for the first time.
And I still remember the song they made us learn!

D! I won't do drugs,
A! won't have an attitude
R! I will respect myself
E! I will educate me noooowwwww

Haha!

Haha, sorry, had to add. =)

Hehe, no I wouldn't be like "hey kids! Drugs are okay!" I would just inform them of things they had been taught that were wrong. And yeah, I guess they probably wouldn't get as much or any enjoyment out it. lol

OP: You should have asked to see that officer's degrees in Organic Chemistry, Neurobiology, and Pharmacology.. And peer reviewed research papers to back her statements.. Oh wait..... she doesn't have a legit degree: thus she became a cop.

What did she say about alcohol? You can buy it in shop and it is legal, did she mention that alcohol is much more dangerous that mdma, did she?

So dont trust that people, that so called policeman probably does not know how drugs work. And if you are interested in real dangers of drugs google and ask people on forums.

post above says it..

lol drug propaganda is hilarious. that is bullshit about the mdma. never taken acid so i couldnt tell you about that statement, but i highly doubt its true, although i know people who have abused it and its not as forgiving as other drugs. LSD will fuck you up permanently if not done in the proper way. several people i know can attest to that statement.

Lucky I'm not 1 of the 12 haha!
Of the tens of thousands of people alone in the UK that take MDMA every weekend, (and with the papers apparently printing every MDMA related death) that number seems a tad off.
Tbh I don't think I've ever heard of anybody dying of MDMA, drinking too little, or too much water, yes, but not MDMA alone...?

Yes, people have died from MDMA alone.
Hyponatremia, which can be caused by drinking too much water, has also been linked to MDMA use without water consumption.

Liver failure has been seen, both in acute and in drawn out periods of decline.

Stroke and brain infarction has been linked to MDMA.
Also, intestinal failure.
Heart attacks and cardiac tissue damage also make the list.
Kidney failure, too. The list goes on, people.

Often, other substances are involved, but sometimes not.
The idea that MDMA is safe is in absolute contradiction to the medical literature. Pure MDMA, taken carefully, can STILL fuck you up badly.

However, it is known that the majority of users do NOT die from use. Certainly not 1 in 12...
There is a deficiency in the liver enzymes necessary to break down MDMA in about 1 in 12 Caucasian people. This places them at increased risk. This does NOT ensure their death...

Misinformation from ignorant police are one of the primary reasons that idiots on the internet can completely ignore the facts that point to the true dangers of MDMA.

Death is quite rare, but not impossible.
Much more common than death is LONG lasting depression and anxiety. Former heavy users often describe depression that lasts up to TWO years.

There is plenty of evidence that MDMA does cause damage which can be permanent. Whether or not this damage has behavioral impact depends on the severity of the damage and the person in question.

The recovery process is hell, and my tabs were pure.
Re-dosing is one of the greatest dangers of MDMA abuse. It introduces higher and higher levels of toxins for less and less benefit. Do NOT redose.
