Good day. Here's the situation: I've been getting Vicoprofen(7.5/200) x90 with 2 refills for about 3 years now since a car wreck left my leg all messed up and in a prosthetic boot. Until about 6 months ago it was to be taken once every 6 hours(4 a day), and since I get 90 it was considered a 22 day supply. Now it's written once every 4 hours, and my insurance AND Walgreens have it entered as a 15 day supply. I found this out in sept. when I called on day 19 to set up a day 22 refill and they said it was cool for that day since enough time had passed. Since then I actually had it go thru on day 14(from 9/25 to 10/8). Pretty sweet.

So yesterday was day 14 and I went to the Walgreens by my girl's house(I use my home store and her's, depending on where I am). I got my Nexium and told the guy to put it thru for tomorrow, made sure to mention I do NOT need it sooner since I had tried to get it early before and they don't like that. He talks to the pharmacist and says they'd put it thru right then so I wouldn't have to make another trip. Cool. Then when he's checking me out he says the pharmacist told him it was too early, I had to wait til the 20th. I'm very nice and ask to speak to the pharmacist to clear things up. She's not kind and all and states my prescription clearly states I'm to take 4 a day. This is not correct in anyway.

I get home, call my insurance, and they tell me it's a 15 day supply. Walgreens website had listed the next fill date as 12/14(today). I go to check that, but the pharmacist de-activated my script after pulling it over and it showed I had no fills. I went to my home store immediately to see what was up. Wasn't decietful, told the tech exactly what was going on. He said the other store just didn't re-activate the script after not filling it, but I still had fills and he fixed everything. He then asked if I wanted to get it filled there on the due date, and I said sure, and he puts it thru for today. So *IN THEORY* I should be able to get them today. When it was supposed to last 22 days there was no trouble on that day, but I'm thinking the people filling it feel 90 is too many for 15 days.

In short - Can they tell me no today?

My apologies, I haven't logged in for like 5 years and thought this was where this went. Where would I best be served getting advice for this?

I don't know where this thread belongs either but I'd like to chime in. Your pharm thinks you're just another CII junkie. And things like this generally happen when your local pharmacist and Doctor don't play nice together. If you google "The Angry Pharmacist" you'll find some blogs that illustrate the strained relationship that pharmacists have with medical doctors.

As far as what I would do, nothing you can do. The dates are so close together that I would just "Reset" your calender so to speak. When you get a new 'script (not the refills), make sure the dr and pharm agree on the fill date, maybe add a couple days to it. Use this experience to slow down on your usage if you can. Good Luck friend :)

It always drove me up a wall when my pharmacist wouldn't work with me.

Worse yet, when I ask them to call my doctor for a refill, it never happens. I have to go into the doctor and pick up a physical script for all my stuff, or nothing ever gets done...

DERP.

I found a better pharmacy, in the end.

Unfortunately bluelight isn't here to help you deal with lousy pharmacy techs. I'm sorry for your misfortunes, (I have had many with the pharmacy) but this kinda self serving discussion doesn't fit within the harm reduction spectrum we strive to explore and utilize on here. I'm sorry but this is getting closed.
