Planar chaos,
Zooming expansion lost,
an austere, simple rhythym,
x right, y down, on, off,
strings whip, whir, and writhe,
but the cataclysmic dance must Survive.
for if space can Fold, this life surely,
can't be sold.
ephemeral, effulgent glimmer,
glittering, gustatory gasmer,
over the ovular oscilliations,
within the spital secretion station.
To think,
We still have a nation.

Thanks. I wrote it on a bus after a long business trip actually. I'm really quite interested in string theory as it may hold the key for the actual causation behind this consequence we call the universe! Thanks,
Mike

Gasmer isn't a word. Neither's spital, if we're speaking english not german. I know, words for the sake of their own resonance and all that jazz but if you're just going to make things up to alliterate and assonate it tends do away with any poetic profundity you might have had. For that matter, it destroys any real meaning as well. Literary masturbation, you might call it.

For one, spital is a word, though it's not commonly used. And as far as "gasmer" goes- this is a term coined by Leary in his book "Psychedelic Prayers". I felt it helped the flow of the poem there and implies a gaseous sensation within the mouth, like speech.
