Was there ever a chance?...
A chance to hold you and have you for once not feel any pain...
To have you open up to me without feeling the need to hold back your tears?...
A chance to kiss you infront of everyone to show them my short-lived happiness...
To have you hold hands with me in public and be proud to?...
Was there ever a chance?...
A chance to break through that wall around your heart...
To have you factor me in your heart as more than a friend?...
A chance for you to not be so afraid of love...
To have you listen to your heart when it came to us?...
Was there ever a chance?
A chance for me to be everything you wanted me to be...
To have you be everything I wanted you to be?...
A chance for you to love me...
To have you say those three words I so desperately wanted to hear from only you...
Was there ever REALLY a chance?

how frustrating and heart wrentching, ive been there for so long and now ive realised no there never was a chance, never, and it hurts sooooo bad but im stronger because of it and ive learnt to love me and live without wishing, thinking, dreaming, hopeing day after day yearning. now at least i know the answer. and as fate would have it i have been blessed with a friendship bond nothing could break - ive said it before and ill say it again - all things happen for a reason.

Aww, this one breaks my heart (well, everything does, but. . .) cuz its so beautiful. I've often wondered the same things soooooo many times.
