She spoke to me subtly
with a frown
that adorned her crown and wore a gown of white
to offset the deep
dark night of her eyes
her artificial nature helped us to bond
I often felt helpless, withdrawn
and selfish at times
I can't help it
she's the inner child of a mere child
the external manifestation
of hollow dreams
she often follows me
back to the helping hands I'm blocked from
the night of August eve
when I saw the leaves of one tree
change color before the rest caught on
but the red was drawn not from seasonal change
but from anger
and shes the only close stranger I can confide in
I'm in a room of guilt with her
as my only company
I'd like to reach to somebody yet
I'm out of everybodies reach
we're on display through
window panes of painful memories
plauged to stay with the enemy
in the midst of outstretched angels wings
I just pray one day she'll answer me
without me moving her lips manually.

Hot damn!

I'm a huge fan of diversifying poetry by adding other things to it, or in this case including the stimulus that caused it to be written, I really hope that other people do this kind of thing, because it makes this forum that much more interesting and diverse to read.

Very good and evocative work.
