Dissociatives A novel way of taking DXM: intranasally via ethanol solution

I posted this as a reply to another thread but seeing how this is an interesting enough topic on its own I thought I would spread it to the masses
you could make a spray bottle that has a DXM ethanol solution, PubChem states that DXM is "Freely soluble in ethanol" meaning that 1 gram of DXM can dissolve in 1 ml - 10 ml so if you were to stick it in a spray bottle you could theoretically dose however much you want but I can't imagine it would be pleasant to spray in your nose but I'm more interested in DXM for its psychedelic effects so I think I will be trying this ROA, not to mention I know you can buy the pure powder online for fairly cheap so doing this should be a cinch.

Opioids Thread 'dxm intranasal ROA review'

previously i have made a report on my friend snorting dxm HCL, a different form of dxm from the common OTC dxm which is more soluble, where i had saved 600mg for myself. now i have tried it myself. heres my report:

background: i had a liver transplant at 17. before the transplant i would love to do the OTCS (grape delsym, triple Cs, etc) with edibles or nutmeg but after the transplant dxm lasted far longer and felt more dysphoric. it seems my new liver is one of the 9% that makes dxm linger and be more dysphoric.

i chopped 600mg into some lines on my vanity mirror. i insufflated ~400mg...

what exactly would be harmful about this? considering that you could use propylene glycol instead which would irritate your nose less in the short term as long as you didn't over use it otherwise you risk propylene glycol toxicity.

I never really gave a specifc reason, but i think common sense or maybe just experience tells me insufflating alcohol is painful and personally my fascination w DXM ended pretty quickly in my younger years.

"IF" I were to to take dxm agqin, i would just capsule and take orally. Snorting most* things vs eating them, ime leads to a rushier/jankier experience.

I do commend your bravery for attempting a novel ROA, but i ask why????? As you said DXM is available and cheap....

I have taken DXM and had full out of body experiences, that changed me and i will never forget. So i do understand why someone would want to explore it more.



When i was young i took dxm adderal and cannabis. Even tho i was on my bed, i felt like i was backflipping thru outer space

That's an improvement, I guess. But the effect of ingesting DXM comes about through a complex interplay between what your liver does with the molecule and DXM itself. If your new ROA works, you risk losing the immobilzing safety net of DXO.

Maybe get a neti pot and practice rinsing out your sinuses first.

Just in case it turns out to be as unpleasant to have artifical goop up there as I imagine it to be. If you decide to pursue this, at least.

(Neti pots can kill too btw, fun fact. Do research.)
