Visions of you fill my head,
I have these dreams of you while in my bed.
Thoughts I wish would go away,
but seem to linger throughout the day.
Secrets I keep from those so dear.
I wish I could talk to you,
but I have this fear.
This fear that feeds upon my desires,
I do not want to be alone in such intense fires.
I long to feel your touch upon my skin,
but once you start will it not have to end.
I want to taste your lips,
but to some it would be considered a sin.
Both our bodies into exstacy will slip,
where love will find no end.
One word from your mouth,
my feelings for you I adore.
I know so little about you,
but I want to know so much more.
I see the expressions on your face and then you smile and I wish you were the one with whom I could walk that extra mile.
I am so scared of you,
but you are a friend,
this much is true.
There are these thoughts that come in between of me and you:
I want to fly with you in skies so blue,
and in deserts make love to you.
To hold your face in my hands so kind,
to have your love mingle with mine.
To have you hold my hands,
while we roll in the beaches sands.
These dreams I have in my sleep,
I wish I could bring forth into the light.
Tell me these secrets you keep,
before this love for you fades into the night.
This poem was written when one of the most beautiful people, both inside and out, came into my life. I really do love him, but I just don't think it was meant to be. We are friends, and I don't think I could ever tell him these things.

I like the part where it says, "tell me the secrets you keep"
it reminds me of my favorite poem, by Frost:
excerpt:
'say something to us we can learn, by heart
and when alone repeat
say something
and it says "i burn"
but say with what degree of heat
talk farenheit, talk centigrade
use language we can understand
tell us what elements you blend.......'
Poetry often finds itself being the vessel for that which we cannot speak.....it gives us the courage to find the words....and it holds them for us, safe and sound :)
