Just recently found out that a friend of mine has died due to combining etizolam, heroin and diphenidine. Obviously he knew the risks but enjoyed living on the edge. The problem is that you can only live on the edge for so long before you fall off.

I see and read of many people on here (in EADD) combining all sorts of drugs to get their kicks (espeically downers), so I thought it may be wise to just remind you all that no one is immortal and that you may indeed one day fall off the tight-rope.

That's all I have to say on the matter.

R.I.P <3

Sorry for your loss Silent :(

It's very easy to become complacent after taking drugs for many years. What might be a hell of a buzz one day can very easily drop you the next time.

Take care all <3

I'm very sorry for your loss <3

It's a very valuable reminder that a lot of us forget sometimes. I know that I have been reckless before, usually when I've been feeling low, and it is easy to think you're immune to the dangers. We just need to remind ourselves that, no matter how much experience or knowledge you have with these substances, you won't defeat biology.

Please bear this in mind, folks. It happens to the good ones just as often as the bad. Please take care <3

I'm so sorry Silent, I think many of us know all too well what it's like to lose someone you love or care for over OD. It's senseless. If you ever need a chat PM me.

Thank you so much for this thread. I'm sorry it came at a cost.

I'm quite surprised that I'm still alive, if I'm honest, after some of the stupid shit that I've done. I'm generally a lot less less extreme, these days, probably due to all the recent deaths on here. Sorry for your loss, mate.

Cheers for the kind words of support all :) It's nice to know there is a sense of community here <3.

In regards to the incident - not to speak badly of the dead, but I felt it was only a matter of time before this happened. His life was just one massive session, to the point that when he ran out of drugs, he once resorted to IVing fluoxetine (prozac) in an attempt to give himself a "rush". I'm not sure how it turned out, but you get the picture.

Having said that, I feel it's incidents like this that make you check your own usuage. I mean, I have a rave coming up where I planned to combine vast quantities of MDMA, 4-FA and perhaps 1p-LSD. But then something like this happens, and you step back and you think "do I really need ALL those drugs...."

Combos are fun, but you can only ever push it too far once. Life doesn't allow you to come back for a second chance. Careful all <3

Yup, it's not a dress rehearsal.

I've not tried 4-FA but isn't it similar effect to MD? Why the need to add that? I combo'd MD with 1p-lsd a few weeks back which was lovely, really lovely. I'd consider that combo to be one of the more relatively safe on the physical side but depending on your experience with psychs setting can make the mental side more of a risk.

Not aimed at you Silent as im sure you're experienced but to those who lurk on these boards you should get to know individual drugs before combining them.

I've never tried 4 FA before either (see, this is what I mean about needing to keep wreckless shit in check), but it's like more euphoric speed with MD tingles for the first hour or so I've been told. The reason for the combo was to add energy to MDMA as I often find it hard to dance. However, now I've actually thought about it, this combo is unecessary and somewhat risky if I've never used 4-FA. This is the sort of risky behavior that we (I) need to avoid....

But yeah, 1P with MD is lovely although I reckon it could be pretty intense for a rave. Maybe go with half a tab first. I once did 2 tabs of 1P when of MDMA and was flying in the clouds. I was at home though, I wouldn't suggest this is public.

Yeah, definitely not wise to throw a new chem into the mix whilst out pushing your body physically dancing in a usually hot environment. As I said, best to read up on the combo either here or Erowid and testing it out somewhere more comfortable where you are less likely to get carried away with redosing which can quite easily happen in the throws of a rave when sense can go out of the window.

I find LSD to give MD that push away from monginess anyway, however, what works for me may not for others so you and all need to find what works for them personally. I'm perfectly comfortable taking mid level doses of LSD at raves or festivals and being in the clouds. That's just me though. Give me a spliff at a rave and I'll be cowering up the corner wishing for it to end. Unless I've had some MDMA and im grand. Horses for coarses and all that.

The problem is that you can only live on the edge for so long before you fall off.

There is a ledge beyond the edge tho. Sometimes you can go over the edge but land on the ledge and be ok. Keith Richards went over the edge years ago and everyon said "that's it" but then someone went and looked and he was on the ledge.

Sorry to hear about your loss SilentRoller - It is so easy to forget that just another mg of this, that or the other could be enough to make somebody not wake up.

^Who can rely on that though??

Silent, I'm sorry for your loss ((*hugs*))

Indeed, we all need to be reminded that no ones immortal every now & then. Very unfortunate that it has to be in such sad circumstances xx
