Okay so did a little bit of LSD today with 3 friends in a park in the city. Lovely day, perfect weather and the trip went great whilst we were there.

Then, on the way home, on the train I began getting into a negative headspace because I saw a man who obviously had some kind of mental disability and this started to freak me out, then I just became overwhelmingly insecure about the people around me (not my friends. the others on the train) and just thinking the world is a horrible place.
Now I have an essay due tomorrow and I'm just overall feeling pretty shitty. Even about the course I am doing (which up until when this started happening, I loved)

Normally I would of written this better but I just can't seem to concentrate at the moment.

Just looking for advice I guess from anyone who has been in a similar situation on how to put the pieces back together

This is why I would recommend not taking public transport on most psychedelics :p
I'm very experienced and not prone to freaking out but I generally avoid public transport when I am high--just too many variables! Split a taxi with your friends instead, it's worth the expense.

As for feeling mentally scattered and negative, maybe take a minute to examine these feelings you are having.
Can you accept the fact that the world is not all beauty and light? Are there positive things and people in your life that make you happy?
Don't focus on the negative, overcome self-doubt and instead make the choice to embrace what is positive and lovely :)

I swear it helps to let go of expectations and never punish yourself for what you hate about yourself unless you truly are willing to change. If you aren't going to change what you don't like, then you have to let it go--not always easy but it's what has to be done.

Good luck!

Yeah I guess the public transport part was my biggest pit fall. Thanks for the wise words champ. Had a sleep so feeling much less negative today which is good.

What forum do I put this in by the way?

What you are experiencing/experienced is increased sensitivity to your environments. This is a good thing, as it is making you more aware. The negative part of it will be replaced with confidence of your increased intuition in time.

I am going to send this over to Psychedelic Drugs.

Yeah, you internalized what you saw in the disturbed man. I would imagine the part of you that related to him quite deeply and openly 'got in trouble' by the big protector part of you. This kind of reaction will lead to everything on the outside looking scary and dangerous. Leads to thinking about everything you dont like rather than everything you do like.

Just remember what you like, and know its okay to think about it and forget about whatever bad place you were stuck in for a little bit.

next time, don't trip until you're done with all your homework? :)

don't be afraid to spend time thinking about your experience and why you had such a response to it. live your life positively in light of what you see around you.

I would recommend preparing for the situation more in the future. If you're going to be taking psychedelics, be sure to complete any important chores or tasks you need to before hand. A worry-free environment is important. You can more easily let go.

And, as has been said, don't be afraid to examine the feelings and thoughts you had when things turned negative. Working these types of things out has always catalyzed growth, IMO.
