a great resource for opioid/ate chem diagrams and legality

Somebody's been a very busy little bee! A definite work of passion & at a glance seems totally free of any mistakes (which is bloody amazing considering how often even 'official' guides fall down on the structural organic chemistry)

Jesus... too much sparetime... congratulations to the chef. Makes my website seem a bit gay... :/

Great site!

But now I'm wondering - I thought buprenorphine was synthesised from thebaine. On this site, bupe is listed as a morphinan. The structure is a long way from thebaine, too.

So is buprenorphine synthesised from thebaine, or not?

im sorry but:
Cocaine is a schedule 2 and so is HydroMorphone
ill look for others but it is very well done. very professional. was it for a class? well done

and ketaamine is a sched 3,
and pot is a #1,
wait, are these for the US? thr federal classification for drugs based upon their medicinal value, potential for abuse and potential for addiction and physical dependance

This is true...in the USSA anyway...this is obviously a Canadien document (which is a good thing), though.
Nonetheless, an "A" effort, Angelus....nice...

Thank you...definitely archive worthy. ;)

That is true, partially...as the IUPAC chemical designation of MDMA is actually 3,4 methylenedioxymethamphetamine. So Boiling in Acid is exactly correct.

BTW Boiling in Acid, I found that a little strange also...

But still, a nice piece of work.

Ok you are correct, I did forget the postion of the methyl groups. If you know anything about O-chem, group postition on the molecule can make a world of difference.

Ex....Naloxone (Narcan) the opiate addicts worst nightmare is actually oxymorphone (an addicts dream), substituted with one group— the tertiary amine methyl substituent is replaced with prop-2-enyl... I think that is the amazing thing about chemistry in general especially when it comes to drugs (opiods epecially).

I stand corrected.
