A gentle stimulant?

Hello people of the realm

Could anyone recommend a nice gentle stimulant for social situations? I'm not talking off me face social drug - just something nice and helpful
for chit-chats, etc. You know when you're a little tired and maybe a little fussed in the head and you don't really find company interesting...well, it would be nice to be able to take something to perk up the neurons a little :)

Anyone got some clever ideas?? =D

Coca tea would fit the bill I think. Also betel, but the red mouth effect might counteract social graces :)

Though not a classic stimulant, kratom has perfect socially stimulating effects for me, as far as a good and gentle mood-lifter and energizer.

What should I take threads are not allowed here, but I hope the mods have a bit lenience here because we're not talking about strong psychoactive drugs and the OP made that clear.

One supplement I really recommrnd is Rhodiola Rhosea (or just Rhodiola). It increases your levels of dopamine and serotonine and is surprisingly effective. I have to take in the morning, because otherwise I can't get sleep. It's very long-acting (some 10 hours or so). However do not combine it with stimulants, it potentiates them to possibly dangerous levels. I've once done this mistake.

ahaa, cyanoide, the assistant at the health food shop recommended this for anxiety the other day. hmm, going to do a little more research into this one.

Cheers

I'll check kratom out, thanks Pseudovoyager :)

Caffeine is the most commonly used psychoactive drug in the world and I would consider it to be a "gentle" stimulant. As has been mentioned, we don't really do drug recommendation threads here....

OP, if caffeine makes you jittery chances are other stimulants will as well. YMMV.

Non stimulant, rx required, not controlled substance. Makes swim relaxed and talkative. If youve had issues with kidneys this may not be for you. pdoc will precribe even with hx of substance abuse. in

I second kratom. As long as the dose isn't too high, theres a sweet spot where you get just the right amount of stimulation and opiat...ation lol. Which both work well as social lubricants imho, stimulants and opiates at the right doses that is. Kratom just is awesome enough to do both ;)

Take treshold doses of any stim.

I would imagine the amount of people who try this and stick to the threshold dose without topping up or increasing dosage over time much be tiny. However, I will admit I don't know anyone who has tried this and I'm purely speculating based on my own experiences with drug use (recent amphet addiction) and the attitudes of drug users I've known.

OP doesn't seem like a person who's heavily into stims, based on his question I assumed that he's inexperienced with them, and as such he would probably have less trouble with the urge to redose - that's usually the problem with more experienced users. Could be wrong though.
