Stimulants A friend came to visit me, probably has serotonin syndrome, can I give him xanax?

20minutes ago I was visited by a friend who has been taking heavy doses of stims for few months but never felt really bad so far unitl now, says he took well over gram of 3-FA AND 4-FA, he has very hot face but cold hands, pupils are just black circles and he's really confused so I'm pretty sure he has SS, says he doesnt feel like visiting ER as it's not that bad but we'll see, in the meantime can I give him my brother's xanax to calm him down? It's the ONLY downer kindof drug in whole house besides booze as I don't take downers, and brother is prescriped xanax for anxiety. It's 0.5mg.

yeah give him a fairly decent sized dose, it will sort him right out, his body just needs to relax in every sense of the word

benzodiazpines are used in hospitals to treat amphetamine abuse or overdose etc

Gave him 1.5mg still the same now but its been just 8minutes. He has body temp 38.5.

give it abit yet, drink water, multivitamins, eat a banana, maybe chew another xanax let it sit in his mouth for 10mins so it comes on faster

Yeah gave him lots of water and xanax might be kicking in! Doesn't move so fast with eyes so I think he'll be OK
He's crazy he just fell in love with stims incredibly fast and always when high sweats like fucking pig but feels fine otherwise, I knew this would come soon though

stims are good yeah but you need to know when to stop, easier said than done of course thats why i always have some benzos about for when things get rough

Feels much better now, yeah I figured out playing some chill out (cafe del mar) he looked like total mess when he came, he was actually chilling in his car with some friends and they were like 300m from my house so he went to my house if I have anything to calm him down, btw his idiotic friends didn't even believe him that he feels so bad because he always manages high doses at once

I know everyone says its good to have benzos when you overdo it a bit or even when you just need to cope with comedown from normal doses but wasn't sure if I can give it to him when he's that bad, thanks.

benzos are always safe, if you go to the ER with them symptoms they would probably IV a high dose of diazpam

Benzodiazepines are fantastic for serotonin syndrome, but Xanax is a very cerebral benzo, having more CNS anxiolysis rather than PNS muscle relaxation, so I don't think it would do much for muscle spasms. So, rather than 0.5-1mg Xanax, I would recommend taking a benzo with powerful anticonvulsant effects, such as 10-20mg Valium (Diazepam), 15-30mg Restoril (Temazepam), or 0.5-1mg Klonopin (Clonazepam).

well i known from experience, i once took 500mgs of 6apb in a matter of hours, dosing 2 200mg bombs and a 100mg, ive never felt so shit in my life, shaking, sweating, mind racing, serious vasoconstriction. i ended up taking 3 etizolams and it brought me back down to a nice smooth level within 20 mins

I know this well that bluelight is not emergency - I just remember saw several threads like these before and thought people could be reliable with such problem.

He still has very high body temp but laying calm on bed. Hmm I should consider buying some benzo myself, I'm always extra careful with dosing stims, but one never knows and when one expects it the least it could surprise me.. as I said its only a coincidence I even had xanax as just 2 days ago I discovered my brother is prescriped it .

dont think hospital is necessary, keep on the xanax, try eating something healthy, plenty of water and then some sleep
