Soft shivers
As my fingers trace the faintest outline
Of your tattoo.

Dead to the world
and finding my voice-
a whisper.
Life is overrated, anyway.

Fiercely quiet in here,
no one has anything
to say or do-
I'll say anything.

I've dreamed
that I had a life
and then the dream died-
some dreams live too long.

Or maybe it's just me.
