A few questions

Ohai bluelight, ive been lurking for a while and decided to finally
Sign up. Ill be rolling for my first time tomorrow and ive got a few questions. Ill be taking half a blue and half an orange get em girl, which are known to be of decnt quality in my area. Any and all resposes are appreciated :)

Firstly, how drastic is mdmas effect on the heart?

How much water/powerade should i drink? Ive also read about a few cases where even with a low dose of e and not drinking much water people died from hyponatrema (what are the chances of this?)

And how fast does it hit? Gradually or all at once?
 
I'd highly recommend to take one whole pill not halves. MDMA will not make your heart race, it will increase your blood pressure slightly, and you may feel an adderal like buzz to it.

The general guideline i've always gone by, is if you're dancing your ass off I drink 1 Liter of water per hour. if you're just sitting down and not really active, I wouldn't exceed .5 Liter of water per hour. Or generally drink when you feel thirsty.

my first time rolling it took 90 minutes to kick in, Drop and do an activity that you can get into and before you know it you'll be having a blast.

And it hits pretty hard all at once for me atleast
 
dont stress your heart rate. look up the pills on pillreports and see if they are good (if not i would wait until u can find good ones).
best advice is to take the pill, then forget you took it. dont be anxious waiting for it to hit, just let it work its magic and you'll know when it kicks in ;)
 
Unless you have serious issues with your heart (taking some serious meds or w/e), you should be fine. Try not to worry too much about it.

Don't drink more than 0.5L per hour. Really you should drink when you feel like it. You've been dancing for 15 min, have a sip of water/powerade. Don't drink too much, but don't drink too little as well. Try not worry about this, deaths on MDMA are relatively rare. Just be reasonable and don't anything crazy like drinking 2L of liquids every hour.

The first 30-40 minutes after you drop, you'll feel a little strange. You might not know where to put yourself. Just sit it out and wait for it to hit. It'll hit you all at once, one moment you'll be like "Eh?" and the next moment you'll feel like you're in heaven and forget about the "Eh" bit.

Try and relax and avoid thinking too much about how much you're drinking, heart issues etc. Maybe try and move away from the main dancefloor while you're coming up (if you're dropping at a rave) and then come back once you're peaking.

Do NOT drink 1 litre of water per hour, 500ml is plenty. People have died from drinking too much water, more so than too little in my area...
And make sure you get electrolytes (salt). Without salt and drinking too much water your blood cells can become oversaturated and can actually burst.
This is all extremely unlikely, you should be absolutely fine. Your body will tell you what it needs.

Also I wouldn't recomend taking two halves, it hits quicker and could be overwhelming. Though this also would probably be fine.

If your dancing make sure to take breaks every now and again because mdma can mess with your bodys thermostat... 15 mins every hour is what I normally go for but this is probably too little in itself.

The 1 thing you absolutely MUST do is - have a good time, enjoy yourself and be safe.

I think it would be good to not take it the day of, just to be on the safe side, I'm not completely sure how xanax would effect mdma... I have limited knowledge of xanax.
 
Some good advice here...

Electrolytes are very important.
Hyponatremia has occured in MDMA users that have not even consumed water.
It is an imbalance of water/salt in the bloodstream and it can be lethal. They are not sure what causes it.

The treatment is always the slow intake of salt.
It is unlikely you will suffer from this condition - it is rare.
But if you were susceptible, drinking electrolytes would offer definite protection.
It helps the kidneys to remove the excess water from the bloodstream.

There is NO need to drink lots of fluid, electrolytes or not.
I do not recommend dancing a lot on your first experience.
I always liked soft music and low lights while rolling....loud music seemed to be intrusive.

The come-up will take 45 minutes, maybe an hour.
During this time, you will experience a large increase in cortisol - the stress hormone. It feels like you are waiting in line for a roller coaster - one that is being operated by a mad-man!

It is intense, but most people do not freak out. Experienced users are normally quite excited during the come-up, even though they are also tense.

After you 'peak' your cortisol levels will plateau and you will receive a rush of oxytocin and prolactin. These are the hormones associated with relaxation, being talkative, feeling open and at peace. You may also feel intense feelings of love and an increase in tactile sensation. This 'peak' should stay strong for a good hour, maybe two.

Once you start to come down, you may want to take another dose.
I do NOT recommend this.
Research has proven that each subsequent dose increases toxicity in the brain. Users will agree that the second dose is nowhere near as effective at increasing euphoria, but it does tend to worsen the negative effects.
If you DO chose to redose, make it a very small amount and take it within the first 2 hours of your original dose. This would place it before you start to come down.

Smoking weed during the comedown does a great job at bringing back the euphoria all on its own. I would say it extends the roll by at least an hour.

Make sure you test your stuff!!
MDMA is a known neuro toxin, but there are adulterants such as piperazines or meth that you do NOT want.

Keep your body temperature LOW.
Make sure the AC is running and fans are blowing. Removing clothing may be a good idea. If you ever start to experience even a low grade fever, it is critical that you lower your body temperature immediately. This is the first response in acute cases that show up at the ER. It has also been shown, through extensive research, to lessen the damage caused by MDMA in ALL dosages. Keeping cool is the MOST effective harm reduction strategy you can practice.

If anybody starts to freak out while rolling, making them cold is always the first thing that should be done. Sipping electrolytes is next.

High doses of vitamin C may also offer some protection, but the BEST advice that you will find on Bluelight is:

There is a lot of good information in this post, but If I would be about to try mdma and I would read this it would freak me out ;).

Simply don't worry : mdma is a VERY fun experience. Just make sure you drink some water and everything will be fine.
 
As Shulgin said, every piece of information about a drug, good and bad, should be available to the person considering taking that drug.

As for the xanax, what i meant by it lasts me months is i rarely ever take it. Its only for panic attacks (rare).

I also got the pills and looked them up on pillreports and am pretty dissapointed. From what i read, they are most likely pipes >.<

Stay away!! Do not be tempted! Flush the drugs right now, don't think that your wasting money because your saving yourself from one of the worst experiances in your life.
Don't even think “I wonder how bad it really is” or “it can't really be that bad” because it is the worst shit in the world. I'd rather be stabbed in the leg (literally) than take pips again...

Yeah ive heard some nasty stuff about pipes. I dont ever want to experience that, let alone it be my first e experience. But at the same time, some comments say theure alright and so did the person i got them from.
 
xanax can take away from the rolling effect, but taking the two together is not too harmful for the body, except for the fact that mdma increases the heart rate, while xanax lowers it. but there is no chemical reaction between the two
 
Sorry to hear that those pills turned out to be pipes. Try and buy a test kit so next time you can test your gear before buying.
 
After some more research i think theres a good chance these either have a small amont of mdma or are methylone. Still possible pipes but im gonna take half and just see what happens.

I do have one more concern though, i took 400mg of ibuprofen a couple hours ago and am planning on dropping in around 4 hours. Can this affect the roll in a negative way? Possibly too hard on the liver?
