Is this considered long-term cocaine use;

Day 1) tried powder cocaine for the first time, used once a week or so for 9 months, sometimes using twice a week.

Day 270) tried crack for the first time, used a couple of times a week for 5 months or so, at which point i started using every day and that went on for about a year. I got the point were i was a full blown addict, using everyday, as much as possible.

Day 600) entered rehab, got clean, got out, started using again. At the rate of approximately twice a week, on and off. I would say on average i probably smoked around 4 times a month for another year.

Today) i have been doing better, but recently i have been using a lot, i am ready to quit though.

I am currently reading a few articles on erowid, in one of the studies, they came to the conclusion that smoking freebase/crack MAY have a similar impact in terms of mechanism of damage on your lungs compared to tobacco use. What are your general thoughts on that conclusion?

What are the chances, that type of cocaine use could have caused cancer to develop

One last thing, how long does it take for someones lungs to start healing again once they have quit? (take into consideration i use a vaporizer for bud and i do occasionally smoke a joint or two.)

A bit of information you may find useful. I do not experience any negative effects on my lungs ever, i have never had bronchitis as a result of smoking freebase, and i can easily run 2 miles without any respiratory complications. I don't smoke cigarettes anymore, but i do use a volcano to vap my herb. And the only negative effects i notice after running for a while wouldn't mostly be a result of freebase consumption, it would more likely be a result of poor diet and exercise routine.

Thanks in advance

PS here is the link to the articles incase anyone is interested enough to read though it.

MODS IF THIS SHOULD BE MOVED TO HEALTHY LIVING I WOULD APPRECIATE IT IF YOU COULD MOVE IT TO THE APPROPRIATE SUB-FORUM
