a few ketamine questions.

More than a matchhead even if it's pharm-grade stuff to really feel it. Althought allergy tests are always wise when taking a new drug - or indeed a new batch of a drug you're familiar with cos you never can be sure it really is what it claims to be.

Very hard to give approximate doses but I'd call a bump maybe 20-40mg or so. Probably a line the size of your thumbnail or thereabouts and not too thick (very roughly speaking). Scales are not essential with ket but always best with any substance. It's all but impossible to OD on actual ketamine but that doesn't make it risk free - just that the risks are different to ODing.

Play it by ear would be my advice. When I first tried it I had no idea what it did and started with a fairly conservative line. Swiftly added another once it hit and I realised than me and ket were gonna get on very well indeed.

Don't recall if you live with other people but if you do don't even think of hoofing a big line if there's any chance of there being an issue if people see you staggering about and muttering incoherently for an hour or so.
 
My living situation varies. I get plenty of time on my own to take drugs though tbh, I just prefer having a big chunk of time to do them rather than having to fit them in around other stuff.

I'll have to have a hunt for my scales when I go over to my Surrey house at the weekend, pretty sure they're not here. I always tend to be careful with new drugs, especially new classes of drugs - like when I tried heroin I did the smallest bumps possible because I'd never done opiates before and I was so paranoid about ODing 8) Better safe than sorry, you can take more but you can't take less etc etc. Despite being a borderline coke addict a lot of the time I am generally pretty sensible.
 
Bumps of heroin as in you snorted it? UK heroin doesn't work when snorted - you need #4 for that not #3. UK heroin is freebase - only works smoked or injected. You might get some sort of effect from snorting it but certainly not anything like what heroin actually feels like. Not that I'm recommending you repeat the experiment but if you're gonna do it you may as well know how. If you don't know how iffy it is to dip your toe in that pond it's your own lookout - big girl now make her own decisions and all that.

Worst that's likely to happen if you massively overdo a dose of ket is you'll be KO'd and not remember a thing. Of course you can fall and crack your head open or throw up and choke on your own vomit in that state without ever noticing or waking up - not an OD but still kinda iffy.

If you start small and sensible and play it by ear you should be fine. The fact you're even thinking about these things rather than just doing as Owen (humorously) suggests means you're already well ahead of the average punter who tends to do exactly that :\

Cannot be emphasised strongly enough just how fukkin weird you - and everybody else - behaves when properly wonked though. Not one for public performances. Unless you live in Bristol obviously.
 
Feeling pretty fooking good... forgot that MXE is crab walky, thought this may have been MXE or something. no crab walk with this. skeptical as shite with k. tunes onnnnn. aint no feeling quite like this

I find MXE more shuffly than crabwalky. There's undoubtedly some crossover there though. I get a tad self-conscious when I have to go out on MXE. It's not that I can't walk so much as I'm never quite sure if I'm doing it the way it's meant to be done. On ket there is no doubt cos it feels kinda like being a large crab trying to walk across an especially tight tightrope.

Snorted it at first, I know it's not supposed to work very well but I still got the effects that everyone always talks about (including the EXTREME nausea, woo) so it must've done something. I finished the rest off smoking it a few times but it wasn't that much better.

You probably didn't see my posts about it nearer the time but I won't be repeating the experiment in a hurry because I'm possibly rare in that I didn't enjoy heroin even after using it a few times. I mean, I got what people find appealing with it of course but it's 100% not for me. Could be because I had no previous opiate experience so I was expecting too much, who knows, lucky escape I guess. I might try it again but I've got no desire to try it again if that makes sense. Certainly not injected, though I wouldn't rule that out for other things.

I definitely won't let myself end up in that state, never do on anything. Sensible doses lead to fun highs that you can actually remember and not much of a comedown (at least for me) so I don't really see the point in hoofing gigantic lines of something and ending up blacking out and ruining your experience.

First time on ket? You absolutely will end up in that state :D

It's essentially impossible not to if you take ketamine. It's about as messy as drugs get - certainly from the outside looking in. It really is impossible to try to explain just how bizarre ketamine is. The only way not to get in those kinda states is to not take it. That's what it's meant to do - if you don't you're missing out on all the fun =D

(to be taken with a pinch of salt - go at your own pace and do take it steady... you're still gonna be staggering and incoherent though i can assure you :D)

As for opies, they're often described as a 'learned high'. As you noted, best idea is to never learn it then you avoid all the associated... issues.
 
Staggering and incoherent I can handle, I would rather avoid complete unconsciousness though. Is snorting ket the best way to do it? I do vaguely worry about my nose sometimes because I snort everything so I'm going to start trying other methods with stuff.

I never get terrible comedowns anyway so I wasn't worried about that. And pfft, the price isn't that bad, come back when you've got a coke habit :p that's a great way to lose all of your money. And a good reason for me not to learn the opiate high, I have enough problems as it is.

How much ket do you think you've done all in all Dan? You seem reasonably experienced with it is all. I was wondering if the quality is vaguely consistent or do you get some really shit stuff sometimes (what I'm worried about)?
 
Sniffing is the way to go with ket. Oral doesn't work the same at all - you need massive amounts and it is generally not considered an especially pleasant experience even by utter ketfiends. Other potential ROAs are only recommended (well, not recommended at all for obvious reasons but...) if you have sealed vials from a very trusted source. Ket's smooth as silk on the shnozz anyway.

Without a tolerance it seems like a good deal to me, I mean I could probably get a good 9 sessions out of a gram of ket right? Because I'm little and have no tolerance. More sessions than i get from mephedrone anyway, though I can get 28g of that for £220 if I want so admittedly it's much cheaper. If it's shit then any money is too much I guess, I have it on good authority the ket I've got coming is the real deal though.

I like sniffing things but I don't know, fancy a change. Not with ket it would seem, that'll be making its way up my good old nose but with something else definitely.
 
Actually i guess it aint too bad a price... if its proper stuff. doubt you'll get 9 sessions out a gram. short duration, euphoric and pretty much side effect free = rip through it. the euphoria off it can be unbelievable. wicked stuff, youll love it

Nine sessions from a gramme would be an optimistic outlook. Not impossible but would basically mean one line per session even without tolerance and assuming pure ketamine. It's also worth mentioning it's kinda moreish. I don't know anybody who can buy a gramme and not finish it the same night. Don't know many who wouldn't immediately order more for that matter but that's maybe just me.

Before the prices went silly I was getting through that much a fortnight more or less. Is insane to see how much the price has shot up. Oh for the days where a tenner a gramme was on the pricey side :(
 
30g a fortnight? Wow, can't imagine doing that much of anything, even coke. Your tolerance must've been huge. I couldn't handle a gram of anything in a night, would just be uncomfortably fucked especially with something like ket that's active in such small doses. I don't want to wake up on my bedroom floor covered in blood.

Moreish I can deal with to some degree, are we talking more moreish than meph here?! Because that's pretty fucking moreish. Ditto coke which I actually find worse. I'm sure I'll be able to get 5 goes out at least, make sure I'm getting value for money and that.
 
Its hard to explain, cant compare them tbh... ull see what the fuss is about when u try it

seriously doubt ull wake up covered in blood or any crazy shit, unless you force yourself to walk whilst entering a hole or something. not that ud wanna do that though

the terms wonky and k hole will mean sod all to you, but trust me... tis very fun stuff. its in a league of its own
 
What's more moreish? Apples 'n' oranges innit. Horses 'n' courses 'n' so forth. Not the same type of fiendishness that comes with stims. It's just bloody lovely and very easy to get caught up Travelling if you get the taste for it. And yes, tolerance is the key word. Tolerance shoots up quicker with ket than with any other drug I know of. It also barely drops at all even with very lengthy breaks. Make it an occasional treat and you're golden, make it a habit and you have a habit by any definition of the word.

Despite how it may sound from some of what's been said, it's not really that easy to injure yourself whilst under the influence as long as you take basic precautions like being near soft horizontal objects if you are about to sniff a big line. Other than that, ket is mostly a horizontal experience anyway to be honest. You just lay back and spelunk the astral pathways and the like.
 
Strangely, last night was the first time that I've ever found ket particularly moreish... possibly because in the past I tended just to rack up big lines & hole from the get-go. Not much urge to redose more than once or twice after that for me.

I think getting dosing right on ket is a bit of an art... a bit underwhelming if you don't take enough but hard to hit the sweet spot without accidentally hoofing a little too much. Assuming you aren't trying to hole straight away that is.

You can definitely snort no.3, it's a shit way of taking it but it does work. I guess it's lipophilic enough to cross the memmbrane or something.
