a heart which sought laudation lies
a fruit uneaten, a moaning seed,

bespeckled by its efforts...done,
so now it chooses down to fall.

to land in soft discovery that
most fruit goes uneaten, that

the plucked one goes untasted,
often choosing to entreat the flies.

so the heart which seeks laudation dies!
now a plum gone black

its plumness passed and done in time,
transformed into a bleeding wine.

its sweetness once overlooked
in bittersweet precocity.

what a mighty metaphor you've created! just looked and realized, yes for the first time, that this is entitled A Divine Metaphor and i stick by my original statement. what a wonderful work of art!
