I decided to start this thread because I wanted to hear some feedback on fellow bluelighter's encounters with the general publics use of Ecstasy, Molly, Mandy, however it is known in your neck of the woods, or whatever empathogen is popular which is heavy on seratonin.
To start, I attend quite a few EDM nights in my area, mostly dance clubs that play anything from Dubstep, to house, trance and anything inbetween. To put it simply any type of music which is conductive to the use of these types of drugs. With that said I encounter MANY people who are rolling, and it is almost alarming to hear what they have to say about the drug, or how they use it. I would say 75% of the time what I hear is "nah, e aint bad for you", "Ive been rolling twice a week for the past year", or "This is my third night in a row on MDxx". Now to set myself straight before anyone jumps on me I am not intending to tell anyone how to life their life, or come off as condesending, which is the reason why Ill keep my mouth shut when I hear this stuff. Occasionally Ill say you should pick up some 5-htp, and more often than not the response is "yeah that shit make you roll balls?!" Ill say no it replenishes your seratonin, it reduces the harm that Mdma does to your seratonin system to a degree. This statement seems to be almost immidietly dismissed, as most are not in the least bit concerned about harm reduction.

Id like to see where alot of these kids are in 2 years, and not in the way of "I told you so", but more for pure interest in the results of real human extended mdma abuse. It interests the hell out of me. Im sure some of you guys run into this aswell, and just looking for some insight as to how you feel about it. I always end a convo with "you should check out bluelight, its a harm reduction forum, good advice on how to deal with a bad comedown, or an OD", maybe one of the people I mentioned it to will be spared from being an emotional wreck down the line. Who knows.

In the UK the supply of MDMA is a lot bigger so people abuse it extremely heavily; yet to be honest most seem to be fine long term. Personally i had a period of doing it every weekend sometimes twice for 6 months. Now i'm not encouraging abuse because now it literally does not work for me anymore, but i can't say honestly i noticed any bad after effects. Most people i know got bored of it rather than noticed ill effects.

I think it's a self-fulfilling prophecy if you start worrying about comedowns, long term mental effects etc. if you're on this forum reading about all the possible negative effects you inevitable are going to be in a worse mindset than completely oblivious, so you just possibly created yourself anxiety which would be one side effect to start with.

The problems are use to be:
- Unknown substance or additives.
- Unknown amount of substance.
- Wrong dosage (exceeding).
- Don`t allow the brain to recover the normal serotonin level.

Some persons take MDMA with control and they take from decades without any kind of adverse effect in their lifes.

In mi opinion, every "public" boom recreational drug ends up being classified and used as "abuse drug" thanks to the governments policies against drugs, that does not inform properly to the population, and definitively, they don`t focus their policy in harm reduction. They focus their policies on prohibition...
