Opioids A curious side-effect of w/d...?

I'm not even entirely sure if this is appropriate content for this board, but there's a curious side-effect that I've noticed both while in opiate withdrawal, and when I have a common cold... I know the two are only slightly related in that they both make you feel like shit, which is why I think it's odd, and it is this:

I get horny as hell.

Is this just a rebound effect from opiates previously killing my sex drive, or is something else going on here?

Has anyone else experienced this? It seems weird to me that I would be inclined to feel such a way when I otherwise feel like absolute hell... Right now, for instance... Thoughts?

Theoretically makes sense. It is a direct rebound effect.

Yes this is quite normal and happens to most people in opiate withdrawal.

yea pretty normal....your sex drive is depleted so when your off it comes back with a vengence. lol when i was doing heroin and would be in WD, i would rub one out to ease the symptoms and try and get some momentary relief, it would take a total of like 60 seconds haha, WD really will do some weird shit to your body and mind. thank god its only temporary

Completely normal, given that opi's suppres the sex drive in many individuals.
