ok, I got the Duragesic patches...
Turns out the guy made a mistake and they were the 75ug/hr patches and not the 50s like I had thought. But we had already agreed on the price, so I got a good deal.
Anyway, like I mentioned in my other post, I'm not interested in being high for 3 str8 days, so just wearing the patch doesn't seem like the way to go.
So, it seems that my other 2 options are to either eat some of the gel, or to disolve all the gel into water and measure it out that way.
According to the box, each patch contains a total of 7.5mg of Fentanyl (even though the math doesn't seem to work out... 75ug/hr for 72 hours, but I guess maybe they expect to lose some along the way)
Someone before said that 1mg would be a good dose for someone with low opioid tolerance...
does anyone else concur with that? so there should roughly be about 7 doses per patch?

i tried cutting one open and disolving it in water.
i think i was able to get all the gel out, (i put some water in the pouch and emptied it several times) but there seems to be some stuff floating in the water.
anyone done this before? has the fentanyl disolved? should i use heat or alcohol or something else?

It's fentanyl freebase and not water soluble. You should have just eaten the gel like I said. Now you have a mess here and trying to accurately dose is gonna be difficult.
Empty the water/gel mix into a baking dish and stick it in the oven on low heat to evap off the water. Very low heat.
It's not hard to look at a small amount of gel and divide it into X amount of relatively equal parts. There's no need to disolve it in anyhting.
 
Yeah. You'll probably wanna do 2 but start out with 1 at first.
Btw, you can cut open the patch and lick the gel. There's usually a small dose leftover after you squeeze out the majority of it.
