Red eyed, tears spilling over you covering your face
as we sat in dennys after a night of drinking.
We are just weeks away from saying goodbye.
You looked at me with that half witted smile
Grabbing my hand and said.........
" I remember when we talked 6 months ago, you told me I would leave you that this was stepping stone, that I had more on my journey. I would leave you like the rest, but not out of malice but out of fate and destiny. I told you I would never leave you, but I guess you were right and I was wrong."
You kissed my hand, tears still flooding down your face. No longer embarassed at the people around you.
Looking up a funny crooked smile came across your face like you knew more then you were letting on all the sudden and said.
"You are just like the tattoo of the angel on your back, Your here on earth earning your back to heaven"
The whole time lost in your eyes, hurting and not wanting to let go, But I promised myself I would never ask you to stay when the time came.
I kinda started to laugh, and said
