This is a huge maybe for a lot of reasons... June/July are probably best for me.

And I am NOT staying at a hostel. I learned my lesson when I spent 1 hellish night at the Flying Pig in a dorm room with a junkie couple who made an amusing set of attempts to have sex after I watched them share a needle. :\
 
^Hey thats the best part of a hostile. Plus I know some real great ones in Amsterdam like classy places, seriously.

I'll definitely be staying in a hostile or with family a bit outside of town.

4-20-2009 in AMSTERDAM BABY!!!! After planning our trip to Playacar, and a trip to vegas later in the year, this seems easily doable!
 
Been wanting to go to Amsterdam for years...why not plan for my first time to meet with an international buncha drug-lovin freaks? ;)

Two things:
As far as contacts I used to work with a guy who was born and raised in Amsterdam, and while he doesn't party 'per se' he promised if I ever met him there(he goes back home twice a year) he'd show me a damn good time. This while knowing he knows what I like, and evidently has a promoter friend back home that does events. Question is can I still find him.....last I heard he worked at Gaylord Palms in Fla.

Two....one of the things he and someone else suggested as far as cheaper flights WAS to fly somewhere besides Amsterdam, then get a europass and take a rail into the 'Dam. Dunno bout Greece. But this sort've thing does seem to be a possibly cheaper option.

All that being said: I'd like to go to this. As long as its after Feb '09...thats when my vacation time at this company will kick in. :D
 
This is something I've always dreamt of doing. Being a habitual procrastinator, I'm very glad I have a year to save up for it.

Anyone want to hang out with a 40 year old American female? *crickets chirp* Uhmmm....damn.
