$9m in opium siezed at JFK 01/21/2011 from thailand

hah the ammount of raw opium just to get a sufficient ammount of h is rediculous.... i wish i had 100 acres i could plant... i'd have all my junkie friends do that for me
 
Oh look! The shipment came from Thailand, which has death penalties for drug smuggling. Harsh punishments sure do work well at preventing drug crimes.

I assume you're talking about the "harsh laws working" part. No, I don't belive it, I was mocking people who suggest that harsh laws do work. I'm actually a strong supporter of drug policy reform, which would stand for personal liberties, -responsibility, harm reduction and unbiased education.

yeah im sitting here thinking, 205 lbs of raw opium can't be 9million bucks, that sounds ridiculous.. Don't H manufacturing labs use tons and tons of it to produce H?
 
I reckon the newspapers inflated the price just to make it look more shocking.
