firstly - way cool for slowing down and trying...I dunno wat ur poison is but mines meth, and I'm in the same place in that I'm starting to get it under control and just enjoy buds instead

secondly, I cudnt judge u if I wanted to - I hav a history of (well locking keys in the car too...but also) driving under the influence
usually itd b meth and I'd b going 200kph down the motorway in my V8 thinking I was fiiiine but nearly smashing the car and I up cos I'd think I saw sumthing (and the cops often took me in for the night too), but I wud happily drive drunk and stoned too
didnt learn my lesson till I had this wicked V6 Holden I did up wiv the help of my ex - a jet black, old school metalheads dream wiv a big bore and a sound system to die for
I called her The Beast - I loved using her to intimidate slow drivers by tailgating them wiv this mean-looking car (and I looked pretty mean - I glared at evryone and had the unhinged meth addict look)
oneday I was tripping on shrooms and mum picked up on it (I was like 17 at the time) so she told me to just go 'call one of my charming druggie friends and hav them take me away for the night' cos she found it freaky (Dad was a tripper wen I was a tot and it made him act mean - I just...leave earth)
anyway I just shrugged, picked up my keys and got into the car, deciding to drive to my gfs joint down 25km away
it was a dark night, I was peaking, the demister was fucked and it was pouring outside
my mushy brain thought 'this is like being in a rocket' - last thing I remember thinking before putting my foot down, flooring the Beast in a tight suburban street
next minute I felt my body slamming into the wheel and I looked out the front window - which was smashed in fully - only to see all the pistons in my engine going pop pop pop pop pop pop into the air
boy did I sober up quickly - I totalled that car, my pride and joy - and if it hadnt bn an old Holden wiv a heavy chassis I'd b dead
I only smashed into the back of a parked car - but I was going so fast...
I'm still, 8yrs later, paying off their insurance weekly
I'm guessing u get wat I'm saying in a long-winded way? basically I learnt my lesson, and I dont think u seem like a stupid guy, so I'm guessing u learnt urs too
drive sober and stay 100% aware at all times
seems a bit much that u were incarcerated tho
over here u wudnt b, unless u had a history wiv the cops
sounds like the passengers of the bus got off fine and u had the injuries....
plz tell me ur sentence isnt longer than 3months... 8(

OverDone, I am ok and luckily no one was in the car with me. The worst that happened to me was during the crash like I said when I flew forward and broke the windshield and then I came down and hit my lip on the steering wheel. I guess the charges could be worse, but they aren't on the better end at all. I have one careless driving already for my last crash and now I'm charge with that again and DUI Drugs.
Well when I used to cop down on E 9th Ave & Corona St I know the king soopers there did that after 4 P.M. . We used to love that and eat that shit all the time too (me and all my old junkie friends). When did you live in CO? Curious.
drug_wench, nice story, sorry to hear about the car though. I am sad about mine too, I don't have shit man. Really, I got an ipod and the clothes on my back. I've lost everything, I had this car one month, fucking shit man and there were no people on the bus at all! It looks like someone drew a line on there with sharpie and my car looks totaled and they fucking want money for me...wft?
I talked with my lawyer today. Looks like I might at worst have a suspended licenses, 24 hours of community service and drug classes, a year of probation, but no jail time. But that is just what we think, really it all depends on the blood work they did on me. Think THC would case a big problem? In Colorado, considering the state is pretty open about it. That should be the only illegal narcotic in my system.
