Hi all

1. I saw a movie and I would like to see it again, but I do'n remember it's title. I know that in the ending it was a fight above a crocodile pit. Maybe some of you remembers the title.

2. What is your favorite movies from the 80's & 90's

thanks

LOL @ Your attempt to turn this into a legitimate thread.

I'll play though. My favourite movie from the 80s is probably Gandhi and my favourite from the 90s is Pulp Fiction.

it bothers me that i saw a lot of mgood movies on VHS from the 80's & 90's but i don't remember the title and that bothers me, I would like to see some of them these days...

:)

3 o'clock high. :D

that's not the movie you're asking about, but it's one of my favorite 80s movies.

"Everything. OK! I'll talk! In third grade, I cheated on my history exam. In fourth grade, I stole my uncle Max's toupee and I glued it on my face when I was Moses in my Hebrew School play. In fifth grade, I knocked my sister Edie down the stairs and I blamed it on the dog... When my mom sent me to the summer camp for fat kids and then they served lunch I got nuts and I pigged out and they kicked me out... But the worst thing I ever done - I mixed a pot of fake puke at home and then I went to this movie theater, hid the puke in my jacket, climbed up to the balcony and then, t-t-then, I made a noise like this: hua-hua-hua-huaaaaaaa - and then I dumped it over the side, all over the people in the audience. And then, this was horrible, all the people started getting sick and throwing up all over each other. I never felt so bad in my entire life..."

^ never seen that movie, but somehow i knew what it was from. everyone i know thinks it's UNBELIEVABLE that i've never seen it. WHYYYYYY???

Crocodile pit at the end I guess...

So many good flicks. Star Wars:Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983), Revenge of the Nerds (1984), Back to the Future (1985), Crocodile Dundee (1986), fuck, Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, (1985) and more. 90's The Silence of the Lambs (1991) Pulp Fiction (1994), Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998) The Matrix (1999)

Plenty of decent films in that era, now the people that remember that time are all in our 30s and beyond. It was the era of the home video - Betamax Vs. VHS and then eventually DVD - it was a great time for film as movies were brought into your home, there was no longer any need to go to the cinema; therefore more film was consumed. However, it was before a time where film and music became so disposable like today. I love Netflix etc, but I hardly watch a film more than once on it, back in the 80s/90s you purchased videos, recorded them off the TV, rented them for a weekend, so chances are you watched films of the time more than once, many times in fact, to the point you can almost recite the whole film. You and your friends bounce quotes off of each other constantly, the films of the time are so full of nostalgia, so many cult classics, it feels like today that there is something lost in the superhero CGI fest that seems to dominate the big screens that are less about the film quality and artistic merit and more about the merchandise that suck the money out of the consumer quicker than Gordon Gekko in Wall Street.

Dazed & Confused, The Goonies, Dumb & Dumber, Pulp Fiction, Ghostbusters, Blade Runner, Predator, Back to the Future I; II & III, Platoon, Trainspotting, Point Break, Casino, Goodfellas, Wayne's World, Total Recall...

Christ there are soooooooooooo many, the ones above aren't necessarily the best or my favourites, but I have seen them soooooooooooo many times that I know the script off by heart, there are soooooooooooo many more.

The color of money, dogma, pulp fiction, reservoir dogs, fight club, true romance, E.T., good will hunting, the usual suspects, the big lebowski, from dusk til dawn, terminator, the green mile, home alone, matrix, back to the future, gremlins, ghostbusters, primal Fear, the Jury, jfk

If you're going to watch The Color of Money you should really watch The Hustler as well, though that is a 1960's movie.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom has a crocodile filled body of water near the end of it.

"Mola Ram prepare to meet Kali, in Hell."

Then Indy takes the sword he has and starts to cut at the rope that is holding this long rope bridge together. It's pretty awesome.

I'm a late bloomer in sci-fi, but I'm really into the original Star Trek movies now. I'm surprised nobody mentioned Star Trek.

Blade Runner

but most 80s Arnold movies are pretty good...The Running Man especially
