.8 First Roll

Nobody comes off as a prick to me haha I'm always in a good mood anyways so if your harsh it's just like your trying to be stern with me and steer me in the right direction. Iv'e been browsing the forums all day today and i have just been wishing i came across Bluelight before my first roll. Anyways, thanks for the welcome and advise (which I am taking) i'm sure ill see you around. The next time I roll it will be at EDC in May so seeing that its a festival makes it so much more worth it.

Definitely hold out til EDC then man, it will be SO worth the wait :)

Though yeah, you're right :) unless you're being an arrogant dick in the first place, my kinda responses will just be stern as you put it :)

And don't I know how you feel about wishing you found BL before MDMA hahahaha....same here heh

Would my tolerance be too high even though it was still cut to hell? Cause i'm positive now that what I had was not even close to pure MDMA. Does that mean my .8 was cut in half or even further?

Well, now that you explained it was methylone, at least you shouldn't get a loss of magic. That's still a huge dose of methylone though, if it was all at once. Methylone is shorter-acting than mdma and it's a lot weaker ime. It's moreish, as they say, so .8 over the course of the whole night is still a lot, but it's not unheard of.

Going easy on it and starting with 100mg, or somewhere around there, is probably best. For either mdma or methylone (bk-mdma).

No one can really tell you whether your stuff is cut to hell with impurities or whatever, unless they can grab your bag and get it lab tested, lol. You should get a reagent test kit if you want to know what you're taking.

I'm sure there's quite a bit of cross tolerance between mdma and methylone, so waiting at least a month is still recommended. You want to ensure that you get the best out of your trips and don't lose the magic like I have. Trust me, myself and others regret it a lot.

And yes, welcome to BL too. I actually haven't been here long myself, but I feel comfortable here after getting acquainted to the community. It beats posting at other boards like I used to. You can find a lot of info here provided by the mods and users, as well as valuable discussions and experiences, which helps a lot on taking substances safely. And just knowledge about them too. :)

All this 'lost magic' nonsense is dumb. You'll never be able to replicate those first few times because duh!
It's 25 years since I first dropped and trust me the drugs still work. Do they still amaze me? No, but once or twice a year they definitely still work. We didn't have the benefit of harm reduction forums back then and for sure I did some stupid things but I made it and you will too. Follow the great advice on here, be more sensible and have a good time.

Wait, I lost you on the duh! part. Why is it dumb? The magic is the height of the mdma experience, where every positive effect shines all at the same time, and very strongly too. The euphoria is otherworldly and the happiness is so forced that it envelops you until you become happiness itself. 5 MAPB can't even hold mdma's jock strap when it comes to that magic.

Yeah, I can confirm that after a long break, it works but that perma-tolerance kicks in right away after the "comeback" trip. No magic to speak of at all. I can't think of a single substance where there is such a steep drop off from maximum effects like mdma, even with several year breaks. I went straight to ~400mg after over a 2 year break, and kept myself occupied until I could evaluate what the level will be at and I kept my expectations low. And though it was nice to be rolling again, I was disappointed in the total "loss of the magic." These were from the purple batteries (+ -) that were highly regarded as bomb candy too.

So. I beg your pardon, but it's not nonsense or dumb. It's very real for some people. Or...well, maybe it is dumb, but to me it isn't. It's why I don't plan on dropping ever again, most likely, except to finish the mini collection I have much later this year.

To the question: Does loss of magic happen to everyone?

I don't think so. My partner and I have been taking MDMA every 1-3 months pretty much for the last six years, and he claims that he has "lost the magic," while I continue to experience it to the fullest every time! I definitely haven't lost anything- you get used to what to expect a little bit, but it's still amazing for me every time :) Occasional long breaks of up to six months are advised. I think that one large dose like you took would not result in this "magic loss" that people describe, but rather it seems to occur over long periods of time of regular useage. I think you'll be okay after a break, but like others have said, wait at least 3 months if you can stand it! It will be worth it.
