75 Boston Police Officers Failed City Drug Tests

Cops stole my roomates (therfore partly mine) rent money once. They came with a search warrant because he had been arrested at another place for possession. They searched our house and found a miniscule amount of (his) cannabis, and said our rent money was "drug money", and took it. When he finally checked it out, they claimed ther was no money.

So, yeah, cops steal money!!! (Among other things I'm sure)

God, that pissed me off, he got kicked out because he didn't pay the rent, and I had to live with some chump the landlord found. This guy called the cops on me and said I took the washer and dryer when I moved out. They were my washer and dryer!!!

I had to produce receipts from years ago so that the cops didn't arrest me for burglary!!!

I bet you're completely right. Think about it, it's not like they're PAYING for the drugs they use. Why would they? I'm willing to bet plenty of officers have some completely over the top stashes. Then, seems how they're stealing drugs from people i'm sure they're stealing money or other merchandise as well.

you live in a fantasy world, lay off the psycadelics8)

stealing drugs from a user would lay you open to prosecution, all it takes is an anonomous phonecall. I know lots of professionals who use including cops and they keep their drug and work life completely seperate unless they are morons and to be honest only a moron would think such a thing.

yes I have also had drugs 'confiscated' by cops for personal use but thinking that makes all cops bent is the same as saying a drug users are armed robbers, lazy bigoted thinking....unless that is you are sucking dick for your weed8)

There seems to be a stereotype that all of em that use drugs are crooked.
They aren't crooked, they are hypocrites. Nothing worse than a person who enforces a law that they themselves do not follow. That's my definition of dirty. I have no respect or sympathy for a drug using cop. And I doubt a drug using cop has any sympathy for me.

Yeah it's called being in jail. An experience most people would trade for 45 days of couch surfing and daytime TV.

The question concerns keeping your house and family together over a month plus with no pay. That is difficult no matter what your situation, no?

45 days without pay sucks, prolly leads to eating ramen noodles and dogfood, and its not like you are going to collect unemployment for that. However, it is not going to ruin your career, and you wont be forced to bear a blacklisted "scarlet letter" for the rest of your life.

That information is a matter of record. The union can do only so much.

shut the fuck up i hate cops just as much as everyone else, if not more. I never said i respected them or even had sympathy for them really all i was saying is it doesnt mean that their "crooked". if you ask me, their all crooked id just rather run into a cop that wont charge me

I think this is another great example of how fucked up our drug laws are. Its kinda shitty when the people enforcing these rules and laws are breaking them at the same time.

yay for Boston!!

Officers are tested before they join the force, again while on probationary duty, then annually within 30 days of their birthday.

sounds like a real tough system to get around 8)

i'm personally not a big fan of cops, but for someone to say 'i hate all cops', or 'all cops are fucking assholes' is a very generalized statement to make. it shows the same amount of ignorance as a statement like 'i hate all niggers', 'i hate all crackers', or 'i hate all jews'.

all cops are different, i've had my run ins with the asshole ones, and i've come across some that are some of the coolest fucking people, and look the other way. i just got out of jail after doing 7 months and now im finishing up my parole in a couple of weeks, after waiting 4 months, and let me tell you, i hate the law.
but to make a generalized statement about the majority of the law enforcement population is wrong. everyones got a job to do, and everyone, for the most part, is just tryin to get by.

also, i remember when i started smoking pot when i was like 11 years old. we used to steal it out of my friend's dad's sock drawer, and he was a state cop. also, i got pulled over before i had my license in my friends car while i was on break from work. the statey let me go back to work. he let me fucking DRIVE back without my license.

and last, im from boston, and its not a big surprise that there aren't many junkies up there because, in my own experience, not a lot of people fuck with diesel like that up there.
