70s Aussie Sexuality

"Men aren't visual, they are trained. Back when men were the labor force TV told them to be visual so they could buy some crap, but when women started taking over the labor pool they told women to be visual, too, or did genetics suddenly decide male chest hair was out starting exactly 1989, the year the Dumbest Generation Of Narcissists In The History Of The World graduated college? People don't think visually, the system has trained them to think visually. Most of the world uses computers for words, right?"

Capitalism exaggerates small differences. It is more socially acceptable for men to watch porn -- rather, to be sexual -- which, on its own, might produce a small difference in the frequency of porn-watching. But because of this difference, more porn is produced for men than for women, which makes the difference larger, and also reinforces the original standard: men who watch porn are normal, women who watch porn are not. (In fact it may even be socially expected for men to watch porn or at least tolerate it; admitting to being grossed out is admitting weakness, and worse, admitting weakness in sex, so you'd better find some way to enjoy that video...)

the lyrics

you better run.... wtf

Actually I must admit to a soft spot for this song ... the melody is pretty, and at least the protagonist appears guilty and conflcited about wanting to poon an underaged girl ...unlike "My Sharona".
