Yeah, this places the amino-alkane chain in the wrong place (imagine MD(m)A with a similarly misplaced methylen-dioxy ring); I wouldn't expect it to be active.

Why wouldn't it be active? Probably just crap.

Because it is the 'wrong' shape. There are no other 'active' PEAS with this pattern. It no longer has the adrenalin/dopamine skeleton that all 'active' PEAs have.

on 2,3 MDA:
Synthesis and Characterization of the 2 said:
It has been previously reported that 2,3- MDA has only one-fifth the CNS stimulant activity of 3,4-MDA [8], and additionally that the N-substituted homologs of 3,4-MDA each have significantly lower CNS stimulant activity than 3,4- MDA itself

Additionally, in the commentary for the MDA entry of PIHKAL:
At 50 milligrams, one person was awake and alert all night, but reported no MDA-like effects.

I'd expect this to be similarly inactive.

Good call...on the other hand whatever activity 7-APB may have.....the rats say 2,3-MDA has 1/5th the potency of MDA....since the 'benzofury' analogues all are about roughly the same potency as the parent compound (i.e. MDA, MDMA, etc)....this 7-APB does not have much going for it as a commercially viable creation.

I imagine there could be a quite good mescaline-type chemical with a structure similar to this or 6-apb.

It will probably do something but it's certainly not something I'm going to bother with.
