I got 60 mg of morphine and unfortunately I don't have any needles. What's the best ROA for this?

take it orally. snorting morphine is an even worse roa then swallowing it. but if you have no tolerance 60mg could get you feelin somethin

Just throwing it out there but rectal administration has a significantly higher bioavailability. Though can't imagine 60ml being pleasant.

20–40% (oral)
36–71% (rectally)
100% (IV/IM)

As T. Calderone says, it'll take 30/45 minutes to feel the effects if orally administered.

as stated before the 'best' (in terms of BA) ROA is rectal, but you can simply eat it. if you have no tolerance 60mg is one hell of a dose imo will get you soooo sedated you'll feel great, but may be puke too. if you don't want to stick it up your ass, just eat it then.

What have you got, continuous or immediate release morphine?Which one you have makes all kinds of difference regarding your questions.

I forgot to mention but if you have IR morphine you may want to think twice before considering going down the iv road. You develope a habit on morphine even quicker than heroin and the withdrawls are even more intense.Just something to think about.I know this from experience and sniffing crushed up morphine pills sucks as far as the high goes.As an old veteran I can offer the advice to just chew it up and eat it.

If you have some what of a tolerance, chew it & swallow.......if you can wait, crush it up & dump it in a small glass with carbonated seltzer water or even some carbonated soda......let it sit over night, then drink. IMO, its much stronger this way.

I see a lot of people saying plugging........I still can't get over the part of sticking something up my butt.

Which one would be more embarrassing getting caught doing? Plugging down on all fours or shooting up with a needle (both parents walking in on you) coming back from dinner, lol!

For real. I get that its the ROA that's gonna be the best choice but still, that's just not an option for me.

Okay, so if IV and rectal administration are not feasible, taking it orally would be my suggestion. But, I don't know of your tolerance, or of what type of morphine tablets/capsules you have - 60 mg, taken orally, might very well be too much depending on your tolerance. I need details to help - is it like instant-release, MS-Contin, Avinza, Kadian, or what? And, again, what is your opiate tolerance? Do you use them often? Do you tolerate them well? I cannot just say take 60 mg by mouth without knowing these things, else I'd be going against harm reduction. Help me out with a little information, and I will try to provide an informed and helpful response.

Without knowing whether it is IR morphine pills or suspended release like MScontin's, M-eslon's or Kadians or knowing your tolerance to opiates noone can really give you much of a answer. Morphine is my second fav opiate after hydromorphone and i have eaten it, taken the suppositories, snorted it (only a few times until i figured out i was wasting it) and IVed it. I have had it IM from a doctor for pain but that doesn't really count. None of the pills on the market in the US or Canada are fit for injection and personally i found the name brand MS IR's to be even worse for injection then the suspended release ones. The IR's don't look right at all in the syringe and i certainly wouldn't shoot them. The Kadians are a absolute no no for IV use as well because they have talc in them which is something you don't want in your veins.

I didn't find the suppositories to be much better then the oral instant release morphine pills so i would say just eat the pills. 60mg's of morphine would be too much with no or little opiate tolerance so i would say to take less then 30mg's. Despite what some people say you can get a great high from eating morphine. I have been on opiates for pain for about 7 years and i can still get a great high from eating morphine.
