6-APB: questions regarding tolerance and the possible effects of other drugs on it

In the past few months I've been an infrequent user of 6-APB, usually taking between 100 and 200mg in a night. The dosage has slowly been creeping up as I've clearly developed a tolerance for it. Tonight I decided to take 100mg in a bomb, which has now been unable to get me to what I would consider the 'normal' high I feel on it. I would describe the 'normal' high as a burst of energy, high levels of euphoria, brightening of colours seen, significantly reduced concentration levels, feeling as though I'm floating, with significant bruxism, mydriasis, hot and cold flushes and continuous mild sweating.

It's been 2 and half hours since I took the drug and the effects I've felt have been the hot and cold flushes with the sweating, a very mild amount of euphoria and floaty feeling (as though I were almost tipsy). My eyes showed signs of mydriasis initially, but not to the extent that I'm used to. They have now returned to their normal state. The only real indicator that I'm high at all are the brightened colours that I can see. It's not unpleasant - if this had been my first experience with it I would have been pretty impressed with what I would have taken to be a neat little psychedelic with anti-depressant capabilities. However, knowing the full potential of the drug, I'm feeling a bit let down and I'm writing this to ask, has anyone else has experienced anything similar with ongoing usage (and therefore building tolerance) of 6-APB?

I feel that it is important to note that I was significantly stoned from cannabis. Previously, I've taken it after a few joints or had joints during the experience, but I've never been as stoned as I was tonight before taking it. This is due to my taking some time away from weed to reduce my tolerance to it. To put my state into perspective, I smoked about 2.5g with 6 friends, which put into a state where I was on the edge of 'tripping' (I've only 'tripped', for want of a better word, a very few times on weed.) So my question is that is it likely (or even possible) for this to have altered my experience with 6-APB?

Definitely

That's the reason I only smoke on the comedown of the experience.

I would have thought the 6-apb would have overpowered the weed. When my friend has taken it before he was really stoned, but he still felt the full effect of the drug. Maybe its just due to your tolerance, I don't know. Maybe try 150mg next time?

Yep, will make a big difference. Certainly reduces the roll if you're already high from weed. Taken in small doses after the peak, weed can make things get very trippy with 6.

6-APB for all intents and purposes should be treated like MDxx, with the "one month rule" adhered to at least, so if you're rolling more frequently like that then yes it's quite likely you'll have run into noticeable tolerance by now.

The weed may have altered the effects but I suspect tolerance was the issue, unless other drugs were also involved (e.g. alcohol or benzos, which can dull the effects), or you started taking medication etc.

If you've not been sticking to the "one month rule", I highly recommend spacing out your rolls at least 2-3 months for a while to make up for the excess you've already done and allow your tolerance to lower. If you stick to rolling once every 1-4 months and no more after that your tolerance should remain nicely low.

Hope this helps :)
