6-APB induced neurotoxicity?

2 greenlighters join together June 2011 and warn us all of the dangers of 6-apb. Hmmm.

Whilst I appreciate your concern (you did after all come all this way to the dark side of tinternet to warn us!) the whole point of BL is for people to post experiences (good and bad) and to help people to make an informed decision. The fact that there are more positives than negatives regarding this substance may be a true indication of the fun/harm ratio of this compound. I agree, that all experiences should be valued.

We would love the govt to test all potential recreational drugs for us to take away the risk associated with this activity, but the govt aren't interested in harm reduction, only re-election. There are plenty of well known recreational drugs which are 'relatively' harmless which govt thinks we should not have access to, hence the RC market in the first place and the never ending cycle .

On a personal level, I have ingested vast quantities of this substance over the last 9 months or so. I have monitored myself closely over this time and haven't mixed with other drugs (alcohol and cannabis aside). I have also pushed it too far in terms of dose in order for me to know the boundaries. I have reported back here regularly on my findings. I have come to the conclusion (so far) that 6-apb is relatively benign when taken in small doses infrequently. It doesn't give me as bad a hangover as MDMA and I find that tolerance hasn't developed like MDMA either (to the same extent). It has no fiendish qualities (unlike 4-mmc) and I or my family have noticed no personality changes. So, for me it works ok because I am Jesus Christ the almighty saviour! For mere mortals, it may indeed be risky business, but thank fuck for the ability of rational and informed choice.

It's amusing how people are avoiding to find any fault with this substance. Almost as if they have formed kind of emotional bond with it. The people who accuse me of being irresponible with this chemical... They have a point. Though in my day, the amount of irresponsibility i displayed with illegal ones would match that of a mother who threw an infant to trash can! Never felt toxic this way, my worst come down with speed would feel like a mild headache compared to this one.

To the folks who don't want me to say anything bad on 6-APB.. I am merely passing information on this chemical to you without any strings attached. What you do with it is your own problem.

Now that the burden of warning people is lifted off my shoulders, i don't really care about the rest.

Addar...seems to me you've been mixing various combos for some time, ritalin, benzos and recently 6 apb. Have you failed to mention anything else?

Might it not be the case that you simply reached some kind of limit as a cumulative result of past adventures?

It would help if you actually stated how much you took at the end of the 4th weekend. You say you were up to 3 pills? Did you take this dose on the last Fri/Sat?

How did you feel in between doses. Any feeling that things weren't right? I'd be more inclined to worry if other similar reports were coming in re 6-apb, but I can't see anything.

The most I've come across re pharmacology is some mad benzofuran ring rat tests, where they were given between 16-500mg per kilo of bodyweight (ie a dose of 1280-40000mg! for someone my size). Needless to say a lot of the poor little bastards died at the mega dose. As a typical human dose is around 100-200mg and 6-apb isn't even the same thing, it's almost pointless to even cite this as evidence of neurotoxicity.

No one here wants to permanently f up their body - but we need a bit more facts to help judge if what happened to you was solely down to 6-apb or a combo of factors.

Speaking as someone who always tended to push a 6-APB session to the limit (twice consuming 10 pills in under 24 hours), I never experienced any of the nasty side effects Addar mentions. There are indeed side effects to abusing 6-APB to this extent, and they come in the form of brain zaps and depersonalisation, much like with MDMA abuse. Never experienced residual stimulation 2 weeks down the line. The substance never felt particularly toxic at all.

Since reigning back on my entactogen use, brain zaps are gone, wonderful feelings are restored. If 6-APB has any permanent side effects on the mind or body, they have not materialised yet.

Wonkamonk is one of the most annoying posters of all time. Pompous, pretentious, judgemental...

Not to mention, he's clearly a high schooler with an extreme fondness for his thesaurus.

As for the OP, thank you for the info. I'm treating this one with the same level of caution I do for MDxx... one every six months to a year.

It seems theirs no permanent damage done, i recovered just fine and getting back to pre-madness levels fitness wise..

It all comes down to this: Would i do it again? FFF YEAH!!. But there are better stuff out there with better safety profile... Please do it in moderation, one pellet at a time if possible.

Cheers everybody and stay safe. Hope not to see you again :P

This is all crazy talk. Ive been seriously I'll with heart issues and a horrendous headache, dizzyness etc for a week after taking about 150-200mg of 6APB. It is not worth it. I'm desperate for some good news that I'll get better. Anyone warning people off this drug is doing a great public service.

anothervictim, this is a very old thread (last post before yours was June 2011) I am assuming the OP is not going to reply. I know you are scared and are seeking an answer. What I would suggest is to check out the most current Big & Dandy 6-APB thread which may highlight some of the more common issues associated with 6-APB (may require a bit of skimming and reading).

If you can't find any information that corresponds to the problems you are having consider making a new thread in Psychedelic Drugs explaining how long you've been using the drug and in what quantities along with any other background information you think would be relevant.
