6-APB comedown compared to other serotonin releasers

How does the 6-APB comedown/post-depression compare with that of methylone, MDMA and other such serotonin depleting drugs? I am prone to bad comedowns and depression from stimulants but very curious about giving 6-APB a try. Need more info on the comedown. Thanks.

Not as bad as MDMA, but definitely present at doses that produce MDMA-mimetic effects.

Moving over to PD.

The 6-APB comedown/week-after is not as bad as the MDMA equivalent. There's still potential for brain zaps and everything. From my experience they're not as intense but they carry on for up to a week longer.

To put my two pence worth in, I've taken 6-APB on three occasions - good sized doses ranging from 100 - 200mg - and I've not once had a comedown. I feel that 6-APB is a very efficient user of the resources present in your body and, as such, it leaves you feeling very drained. However, compared to MDMA, the comedown, at least for me, is effectively non-existent. The revelations and mental tripping on my first experience with 6-APB really took it out of me (a large part to do with taking MXE whilst on the peak of 6) but again, there wasn't really any comedown to speak of.

With mdma I experience a severe crash, 6-apb gently goes into diminuendo...

Whenever I have a great night of using 6-apb, I am usually just tired, once I've had some sleep and a bite to eat I feel a lot better, but with mdma I feel so much more drained, in a flat mood as where the 6-apb leaves me in a sort of "after glow" effect, in a positive mood.

I get hardly anything by way of a proper 'crash' from 6-APB. Nothing like the crash from MDMA, Speed, Coke, you name it. It's a gentle up over a couple of hours to peak which last a good long time, 8-10 hours minimum for me, then a long slow slide over a further 8 hours maybe down to something close to base till I'm ready to sleep. It can take easily 16 hours plus for me to get to nodding off territory but sleep comes easily.

The only hangover as such is tiredeness the next day after being up so long. Had ~250mg 6-APB saturday night, finally crashing around 11pm sunday, up for work monday, fine at work, no problems, crashed out soon as I got home and slept till 3am before taking myself to bed, fine again today at work. There's none of the suicide tuesday type serotonin depletion I used to get with MDMA for instance.

Having said all that I'm not one of those who gets massive amounts of euphoria or stimulation from it, finding it very subtle. Some compare it to MDMA in terms of both which I can't even begin to understand, but I suspect the higher you go with it the more you'd get in the way of a come-down.

I find the 6-APB comedown itself is more rough than any hangover, the drop off in effects is quite sudden and I just get this feeling "Damn, I'm coming down, I'm not going to feel as good as I just did for at least another month :(" which kind of makes it hard to truly enjoy the rest of the experience (though it's nothing terrible) - I found this was a lot worse with a higher dose and with 250mg the comedown was quite dysphoric and unpleasant, but with 150mg it was just more of a feeling that I wished I was back peaking but that everything was still nice and good :)

Just so you know this'll be merged with the main 6-APB thread once you've been given a decent chance to reply.

Very person dependable, I get little hangover, only unable to sleep and the day after is kinda I don't want to do anything that involves thinking or moving too much, while I feel just OK psychically, maybe even a little afterglow, but nothing close to bad mood or depression. Very exhausting.

also
compared to other serotonin releasers
Isn't 6-APB a SRI, unlike MDMA being SRA?

MDxx are actually both reuptake inhibitors and releasers for Norepinephrine, Dopamine and Serotonin. We can assume the same about 5-APB and 6-APB given their structural similarities to MDA and 5-APDB/6-APDB which are known to do this. ;)

Almost no hangover.. except decreased ability to sleep and desire to eat the next day. Other than that I feel OK.

doh but in keep in midn I always smoke some good weed when the comedown starts. Which itself is kinda interesting, I can mix 6 (+5) APB with weed without any problems, its even better actually. While smoking on an amphetamine or mdma makes my heart crazy, this is completely relaxed.

Despite 6-APB's similarity to MDA/MDMA structure, even if one is unlucky with 6-APB, he should totally go for more tries with MDA/MDMA/5-APB compounds.

One has plenty of choices among "THE empathogen". By reading all those mdma/mda/6-apb/5-apb experiences, it's all very random. For example I don't have rough 6-APB comedown and enjoy the trip very much, while another person had terrible psychosis from the same sort of 6-apb for three days. And for some people MDMA doesn't even work. Now that we have 6-APB around, we have all the freedom of choosing our very own empathogen which we enjoy the most. I haven't tried MDMA, but there is a possibility that it wouldn't even work on me. But hey, it's 2012 and I have 6-APB!

Amazing!

whynaught: what was your dose and route of administration? Did you combine with anything else? Do you have a history of mental illness? Sorry for your bad experience and thanks in advance!

So do you attribute your bad experience to:

1) being in a weird mood beforehand? (how come you were experiencing depersonalisation sober?)
2) your friends being major dickheads?

6-APB sounds interesting except for the similiarites of an MDMA crash.

Few questions:
Is sex smiliar as it is to MDMA? Hard to get it up, but when you do it's the best ever? If the answer is yes, fuck a crash I'm getting this!

Jaw clinching like a fucking cranked out dummy?

music appreciation?
I really miss the good ol' days of a good roll and if I can get even a taste of that again through APB I'd deal with the crash at least once just to see what this is all about.

Biggest part of an MDMA crash that stopped my use was lack of appetite and sleep. I have some benzos on deck to sleep. But not having an appetite the next day sucks. I'm trying to gain weight, not lose it. And I can't forget that next day feeling where you just feel so fucking down and depressed and wish you never done it. I really hated feeling like that. Either way this is definitly worth trying
