5mg Dexedrine compared to 10mg Adderall

How would the feeling of a 5mg Dexedrine compare to taking a 10 mg Adderall? Is it just as speedy or not as much seeing its only 5mgs. I know its a different type of amphetamine but what would the the noticeable difference with takeing a 5mg Dexedrine compared to 10 mg Adderall? Also, if I split a 5mg Dexedrine and only took half would i feel anything if i've never taken it before?

Adderall is a mixture of levoamphetamine and dextroamphetamine, whereas Dexedrine is just dextroamphetamine.

They're not different amphetamines, per se, but different enough. I would say that 5mg Dexedrine IR is equal to ~7.5 - 10mg of Adderall IR.

Adderall is approx. 75% dextroamphetamine so that would mean a 10mg Adderall is equal to 7.5mg Dexedrine, however, the levoamphetamine in the Adderall makes things a bit different (individual reaction, myself personally, I feel a 5mg Dexedrine IR does a better job than a 10mg Adderall IR).

If you've never taken amphetamines before and took half a 5mg Dexedrine IR, 2.5mg...you may feel something, but its probably better to just take the whole 5mg IR.

I doubt you'll feel ANYTHING from 2.5mg of dextroamphetamine, maybe some wakefulness & a very mild boost in your mood. But other than that I don't see 2.5mg doing much. 5mg is a very low dose as well but with no tolerance you may feel a little stimulated but that's it. For someone with no tolerance I'd say at 10mg the effects would be noticeable & 15mg you may feel euphoric, or high. As for your question, 5mg would probably compare to 7.5mg of Adderall.
